"Ohayo, Ukai-san" you hummed "This is the third time you and your team are late this week. The other gym is occupied by the basketball club and my girls have to practice too, you know"

"Y-yeah, you're right" he stuttered "Gomen, [Surname]-san"

A shaved-headed guy turned to you and his coach and smirked.

"Oi, coach! Don't be so shy!" he bellowed, causing the weird-haired libero to giggle. But soon their heads were grabbed by the firm grip of a guy who seemed to be the captain of the team. His authority was astounding and, to be honest, you found him a bit scary when he got angry.

But you were the coach of the female volleyball team at Karasuno High, you had to make yourself respected. You couldn't accept that your girls constantly lived in the shadow of the male team. So there, at this thought, you got salty all at once and yelled: "OI, UKAI! GET OUTTA MY WAY!".

"Okay, okay, mistress" he replied in a shaky tone, then addressed his team in newly normal manners: "Guys, stretching!".

You sighed as you sat helplessly on the bench while your girls started to warm up.

As you closed your eyes for a couple of seconds and placed your head in your hands, you noticed someone tapping your shoulders.

"Hmmmm?"

"Uhm... [Surname]-san" Ukai gently spoke "Did you notice you sat on my hoodie?"

*Time Skip*

That evening you were dead tired. Practice with girls had lasted all the afternoon long and it never seemed to come to an end.

That was a really stressful period of your life. Your car has some kind of malfunction and was stuck at the mechanic's since two days before, so you had to walk home alone in the dark evening. It was chilly, too.

You were making your way home when two men approached you. One was tall and thin, the other was shorter and fat.

"Hey there! What are you doing here at night, all alone?" the taller smirked

"Why don't we have some fun together?" the other whispered while touching your hair.

You did your best to try and ignore them but the first one who spoke abruptly took your bag from your hand and said: "You're ignoring us, this is not good. Don't worry, we mean no harm... We just wanna have a good time".

Then the fat one grabbed your wrists. You attempted to scream, but the tall man put a hand on your mouth.

"It's useless to scream, nobody can hear y- ARGH! YOU SLUT!" you managed to bite his hand and hit a bin that was there with one of your feet. The bin fell down and made a loud noise.

Someone came out from a store you hadn't noticed. He was tall and had a cigarette in his mouth. You recognized Ukai by his dyed blonde hair.

"HEY, WHAT THE HELL IS ALL THIS NOISE?!"he shouted. Then he saw you, still trapped in the fat man's arms.

"Okay, you wanted it. No one can touch a woman against her will and claim himself a man. And you're two. Such cowards" that said, Ukai took his cigarette out of his mouth and blew it out with his hands. Then he took the bin from the ground and threw it to the tall man, who fell down grabbing his head. Then he punched the fat one in his face and set you free from his grasp. The two persecutors then ran away, beat up and bruised.

You were still on the ground when Ukai picked you up and took you in the backside of the store. There was a couch there and he gently laid you there. Then he put a blanket on you and offered you a hot cup of tea.

"Thank you for saving me" you shyly spoke after taking a sip of tea.

"No problem" he simply replied "I just can't stand a woman being treated like that"

"Uhm..." you began "I'm sorry for the way I treated you today. I even thought of you as a spineless person from the way you replied after I yelled like that"

"Whoa, so blunt" Ukai spoke while lighting another cigarette. A little fire lighted his features and then some coils of smoke came up. You found yourself observing his face and his hair drawn back showing his forehead. Then he got up and took his apron off. You noticed just then that he still had it on.

"I didn't know you worked here, too" you said, just to try and start a conversation.

"Hm. I just give a hand, it's my mother's" he replied. Then he had a look at you and smiled a bit.

"Now I'd better get home, it's late I suppose" you said, trying to get up from the coach. You fell down on the floor because of a sharp pain into your leg.

"Are you okay?" he helped you out by embracing you "You're not going anywhere alone with your leg hurting like that. Plus, it's late and I suppose you don't live near, since you always drive to school. You can stay at my place" he said, blushing a bit.

"Thank you..."

The two of you went upstairs. He offered to carry you because of the pain in your leg. He laid you on his bed like grooms do with their brides. This thought made you blush a bit.

"I hope you can get comfortable. You can have a shower and get changed" and he handed you a large t-shirt. "I'll sleep downstairs on the couch. Call if you need anything"

"Uhm" you said "Actually... I'd feel better if you slept here... It'd be safer, I think"

No, it wouldn't Ukai found himself thinking. He blushed, then he rubbed his temple in the attempt to let dirty thoughts out.

"O-okay"

You both got washed and changed then, as you laid onto his bed, he placed himself at a reasonable distance from you and stuttered: "Goodnight". But it was then that you got closer to him, placed your head on his chest and hugged him. Then you fell asleep all at once.
