Haikyuu x Reader One Shots (Book Two) // Komorebi

Paper // Tsukishima x Reader // Requested

You had just entered the McDonald's at the corner of the street to have your lunch and you immediately felt incredibly disappointed in the long queue before your eyes.

Just two cashiers open at lunch time. Unbelievable.

As soon as you thought this, you spotted a blond who was about to open another cashier. You were the first one to be served and you felt incredibly lucky... for a second. Yes because as soon as you noticed who the blonde was, you just wanted to vanish. A disappointing mango, let's say.

Tsukishima Kei was a pain in the ass to you. And you were actually a pain in the ass to him. You two spent nearly all the time teasing each other or being in competition for everything, especially volleyball and university marks.

You actually didn't know your friend worked there so you decided to tease him a bit.

"Hey unicorn princess" you said

"Oh, here comes the shortie" he scoffed "I was having a bad day without you"

"I'm here to make it worse, baby" you sarcastically smiled "I didn't know you work here. Now I'm gonna call you Salty French Fries for the rest of your life"

"Do you wanna order right?" he cut it short

"Yeah. A cheeseburger and a cola. Thank you not"

Some minutes later, you had your tray in your hands and you were sitting at a table. But soon you found out that there was no trace of the cheeseburger. It was a chicken burger and you really hated chicken burgers, so you went to the cashier to complain about it.

"You did it on purpose" you said.

No reply from Tsukishima.

"You're a prick" you sarcastically smiled.

He adjusted his glinting glasses and tried to hold back a laughter.

"Please say it one more time. I'm getting aroused" he sneered.

"I hate you" you hissed.

"I love you hate me".

You decided to pass it on and go back to your table. You were determined to eat something since your stomach was howling with hunger. In the end, you hardly managed to eat the chicken burger but you wanted something sweet to eat after it, so you thought to go to the cashier again to order a milkshake.

But then, as you were walking away from the table, a whimsical kid decided to drop his Sprite right on your bag. You immediately opened the soaking wet bag just to find out your books were no longer books. And your paper was due tomorrow.

Shit just got real. You ran out of the McDonald's in pure rage.

As you got out, you sat on a bench and checked your bag again but it was useless. You were about to have a tantrum and hid your face into your hands. A couple of minutes later, Tsukishima Kei got out too and started fixing you without saying a word. You felt someone's eyes on you and noticed him.

"What the hell do you want?" you almost yelled.

"Uh-oh. Looks like this is no longer a book" he sarcastically said.

"Thank you, my eyes are still working" you spat.

"Is at least your paper safe?"

"Do you want to laugh about my defeat perhaps?"

"I wanted to help you with it. Cease-fire?"

"What?"

"You're pretty dumb. Follow me and don't ask any question".

This is how you ended up at Tsukishima's place. He told you he was gonna have a shower first because "I stink of salty french fries" he said, causing you to laugh.

Then as he got in the bathroom you decided to mind his business a bit and nose around. You went into his pastel blue bedroom and saw tons of photos of him as a child. A cute blonde kid with ice cream plastered around his mouth, one while playing with his dog, another one hugging a dinosaur plush. You found yourself smiling about it against your will.

You sat on his bed and took the dinosaur plush of the photo you saw before in your hands. Some seconds later, Tsukishima entered the room with just a towel around his hips - this caused you to blush - and, as soon as he saw you with his plush, he freaked out.

"Waaah! Leave Scruffy alone!" he yelled, and with this he took the plush from your hands. But the towel he had around his hips was about to fall, so you covered your eyes and fled from the room.

You decided to sit on the sofa in the living room and wait for him there even though you wanted to disappear.

Some time later, he reached you. He looked flustered.

"U-uhm..." he hummed "I'm sorry about... that. I'll get you something to eat to apologize".

Then he came out of the kitchen with some shortcake you ate together and after that you went back to his room to study.

"Thank you" you mumbled, then you added "But... Scruffy? Seriously?! Who names  dinosaur 'Scruffy'?!?"

"Shut uuuup".

"Yaaaawn" you let out after a couple of hours "I'm hella tired. Break?"

Then you threw yourself on his bed to rest a bit.

"[Surname]?" he called. But then you couldn't hear anything because you fell asleep.

When you woke up, you found out he had fallen asleep next to you.

You stared at his asleep figure and looked at his face without glasses. You had to admit you liked it. Oh, and he was hugging you, too. Maybe he had confused you with his plushie. Or maybe not?

Anyway, you thought it didn't bother you.

*Bonus Ending*

The next day at university before entering classes, Tsukishima came to you while you were talking to a friend.

He looked flustered and avoided eye contact.

"Uhm" he began "This is your paper. You forgot it".

Then he ran away.

Hello people!

I'm still messing up with my exams but it's been ages since I last wrote something. I'm sorry if this is taking such a long time, but I promise I'll carry out all of the one shots I was asked to write, even though you guys may have forgotten about your requests lmao

The list is (slowly) getting shorter. I'm also writing down some ideas for my next long story, which I'll be starting as soon as I'm done with the exams!
