"So, what are we gonna try to do today?"

"...Get my shit together?"
I furrow my eyebrows.

"Get your shit together."
He repeats, nodding.
"The Walsh men always have their shit in order."

"Daddy, you don't even have a shirt on."

"I'm working on it."
The man sighs, throwing a t-shirt over his head and down his shoulders before pulling it down to cover his stomach as the front door opens.

"Knock knock, motherfucker."
Mr. Negan says, a sing-song tone to his voice.
"It's a new day, ladies."

"I'm a boy."
I groan.

"You're a man."

"He's a fine young man."
Jasper buds in.

Daddy huffs, turning to me before placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Go sit on the stairs with Carter, I'll be done in a second."

"Yes, sir."
I sit down on the stairs and look at Carter as his fingers fumble over bullets, attempting to refill several magazines.
"Mr. Negan is here, I don't know if you wanna say hello or not."

"I'd rather not speak to my dad right now."
He sighs.
"Stuck me in a hellhole where no one knows me... but we're the bad guys, huh, bud?"

"Unfortunately..."
I shrug.
"If you think about it, though, we're no Jasper or Mr. Negan, so I guess we're kinda good guys on the bad side."

He nods.
"Good thinking."

"Carter."
Mr. Negan mumbles, walking over with a tough guy limp.
"It's rude to not greet your fucking daddy, you know that?"

"You are far from being a dad, I can tell you that."
Carter huffs, looking the man in the eyes.
"With all due respect, sir."

Daddy and Jasper walk up behind the eldest man and listen to him talk.

"Well, I thought you two would wanna know that Jasper will be joining our little fiesta."
He says, making my eyes go wide.
"Let's give him a real warm fucking welcome, shall we?"

"Looks like I can bunk with the little man tonight."

"Your ass can sleep on the goddamn porch."
Daddy squints his eyes at the perverted man.

Mr. Negan chuckles, twirling Lucille around.
"Well, I have rations to collect, yada yada yada, I'll spare ya the sappy bullshit. Have a blast, ladies."

"Later."
Jasper says, winking towards me.

As soon as the two men were gone, daddy looks at Carter and sighs, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Help me out with the boxes outside?"

"Maybe."

"I'm takin' a definite yes or no."

"I don't know."

"Jesus Christ--"
