Robin's POV

My name is Robin. I look like a robin. Bright red hair, black sweatshirt, dark black jeans, and orange worn-out-from-use laceups. I like to draw. Let me say this. When you start of on the streets, it's hard and most die unless they have something to fight for. I fight for my 'brother', Dan, and he takes care of me. We're both special. Whatever I draw, sometimes it comes to life. Dan is the only one who can see my creations. But I can't draw. I have nothing to trade for to get suplies. Dan and I both are thiefs, but we only steal from the poor if they leave it out on the porch.

The sun carefuly sets, like it's trying to make it even more dramatic than it is. Without realizing it, I draw a mountain. And there are people there. It looks like a bunch of kids. How would I know, I'm only 7 and a 1/2. A sweet tone echos through the ally way, giving me the ok to come out. Once I'm out, Dan embraces for a moment and passes me something. The parcel isn't much, by the way Dan's pale red hair is messed up, I can tell it took some time and skill to get it. "Well, arne't you going to open it?" Dan says while messing with my red hair playfuly. "Says the one who almost broke his leg. Now lay down so I can treat to bloody wound." I grin hapily, knowing I just won this fight. The wound is bad, but I've seen worse. In a moment, the skin is wrapped and treated, and I sit down with the parcel in my lap. Ever so carefuly, I undo the bindings and the brown paper slides to the ground as I look at the thing. A small, leather notebook sits in my lap. A piece of coal sat on top, showing of the soft leather. I pick it and leaf through the freash pages. On the last page, I write my name, Robin. I draw for the rest of the night, dreaming what I'll be able to do now that I have real paper and something to write with.
