Shade •NightPacks Alpha•

I felt someone or something curl up beside me. Was I dead? I could see nothing but blackness. I let out a low sigh, and I felt a a small nuzzling under my chin. But it suddenly vanished when I heard a low growl. I moved closer to the soft fur that was curled beside me and let out another sigh. I guess death was peaceful after all.

For many eagles wing Beats that spot of warmth didn't move. But as the sun sunk in the sky it disappeared. I gave a whimper ,like a scared pup and curled into a ball. I guess the night must bring with it loneliness, even in death.

My eyes fluttered open. The sunlight was filtering through the trees and the birds were calling. So this was Heaven Pack? All of the sudden I heard a squeal of joy and saw a small black pup rush over to me. Was my son dead to? He couldn't be, he was perfectly safe when I left for battle and there was Silver, Red, and Honey were here to protect the pups...

I looked around again and noticed I was in the healers den in my clan. I saw Red looking down at me sternly, but a glimmer of amusement shone In his eyes.

As all of my pack members emerged from their dens and saw me, They gave yips of excitement and joy. As my mate emerged from the nursery and saw me she gave a hiccup of joy and ran over. She nuzzled me and I breathed In her scent. She laid down beside of me and rested my head on top of hers, with my Fade resting on my back. My other pups were still sleeping but I didn't mind. They needed to grow up strong and healthy to survive this winter. Fade clambered up onto the top of my head and nibbled on the tip of my ear. I gave a friendly chuckle and snuggled closer to Silver. What could be worth more than Life Itself?
