Fade •Son of Alpha of NightPack•

As my brothers and sisters slept, I slipped out of the nursery. I felt as if I had been locked on this camp my whole life. I wanted to see what the outside world was like. I slunk low to the ground out of camp. Sandy and Red were out hunting, Silver and Daisy were nursing, and Shade, Red, and ScarFace were in the Healers den. As I walked past the camp barrier, it felt as if I had stepped out into a whole new world.

The mosses and ferns here weren't as tamed, and there were lots of wild animal scents. I ventured farther out of the camps walls and took a sharp left into the ferns. I emerged through the ferns to find myself in a small clearing. There were moths everywhere covering the ground. I sat low down on the ground and waited patiently. As the moths sat quietly back on the ground, I pounced.

The moths flew in every direction and I grabbled to catch one. I seemed to spin in slow motion and as I stood on my hind legs and snagged a moth on my claw. I fell back down onto all fours and played with the moth for awhile longer before letting it go and fly away into the sky.

I explored the forest for a while longer and decided to head home when I heard voices coming my way. I dived under a patch of ferns just as two HUGE wolves came out of the trees.

"That herd of deer must be around here somewhere." Said a massive grey wolf. The other wolf, a rusty colored she-wolf sniffed the air and her eyes widened. I sniffed the air and picked up their scent. It smelled like rotting meat and mushrooms.

"I smell a pup!" Growled the rusty she-wolf. The grey wolf sniffed the air and gave an evil smile.

"Its a NightPacks pup" He replied. I gave a low growl and both of their heads snapped towards my hiding spot. They both ran towards me and I shrank lower into the ground and let out a whimper. I tried to bolt back to my camp but the two wolves circled me. They put their heads down and tried to snap at me but I jumped away just in time. I snarled at them and sunk my needlelike teeth into the grey wolfs nose

"AHHHG!" He snarled In disgust. He shook his head hard and I flew off slamming my skull into a tree. A small trickle of blood ran down from my muzzle and dropped onto my paws. I growled at him and lunged again.

"This little Pup is determined!" chuckled the rusty wolf.

"Don't mention it." He said flatly. I slammed into his chest with all of my might causing him to stumble backwards.

"Ooof!" He growled. "Okay no more games Pup." He spat out the last word like it was a piece of rotten meat. He ran at me, head first, and slammed into my chest. I heard a cracking sound and I felt a horrible pain in my chest. The blow was so hard that I went flying into the air and landed smack in the middle of a tree. I tumbled down the side of the tree and hit the hard ground where I didn't move again.
