2002

"How about.. No." I said, taking the polaroid out of his hand.

"Why nottttttttt."

"Because you're you." I laughed, "And you've broken everything I own."

"I call bullshit." He said, throwing his arms up in the air.

"Jack." I said, pointing to my old broken stereo.

"Okay, fine." He sighed, "I won't touch your new camera."

"Thank you." I smiled.

"So what are we doing today?" He asked, leaning against the wall.

I crossed my legs and shrugged. "I dunno."

"I wish we could drive." He said.

"Too bad we're only in 8th grade." I sighed, and laid my back against the wall too, our shoulders touching.

"This sucks." He groaned.

I set my head on his shoulder, "It's gon' be okay."

"Well, what do you want to do?" He asked.

"Can we sleep." I asked, "I'm tired as shit from last night."

"No we can not." He replied.

I picked my head up, and looked to my right.

I grabbed my guitar off of it's stand.

I set it in my lap and he stood up.

He walked across the room and grabbed his, then sat across from me.

He set his guitar in his lap and we each picked a couple strings, making sure they were tuned.

Then he strummed a couple chords.

He began to pluck strings in a rythem.

I noticed he was playing Adam's Song by Blink 182.

I joined him and then began to sing.

(link on side to song)

"I never thought, I'd die alone. I laughed the loudest who would've known?"

I went on with the song, and when the chours came, we both sang together.

"I never conquered, rarely came. 16 just held such better days."

He sang the second verse of the song.

We both were absolutley terrible at singing, but we had no one to sing for us, so we sang anyways.

Like honestly, I sound like a dying seal.

We jammed out for about half an hour, until we ran out of songs to play.

I put my guitar back and looked at him.

"What now."

He laughed and stood up.

I followed him out of my room, and downstairs.

He slid on his shoes, so I took that as we're leaving.

I put on a zip up hoodie, then my shoes and followed him outside, locking the door behind me.

We walked down the street, having a conversation about this girl at our school.
