Day 11 Of Tour

April 24 - New York, NY

"So what was your childhood like?" The interviewer asked me.

"Umm, I'm on only child. My dad left my mom when I was about two. And she stayed single all those years. I was home alone almost every day, because she had to work so much. I didn't have a lot of friends.."

"How does it feel to be the only girl in the band?"

"It sucks sometimes. It really does." I laughed, I was going to make a tampon joke, but then remembered this is a serious interview and they wouldn't put up with it. "But the guys are awesome. So I put up with it."

"You seem to be very close with the guitarist in your band, Jack Barakat. Is this true?"

"It most definitely is." I smiled.

"How did you two meet?" He asked.

"Um, well, we lived right across the street from each other, starting when I was in fifth grade. But he came up to me in math class in 7th grade and asked to be my partner for a project. That's when we actually became friends."

"How do you feel about all of the Jaddy rumors?"

I laughed, "They make me laugh, to be honest. You should see some of the things they say on tumblr and the comments they leave on my pictures. But Jack and I are just very close friends."

"How do you feel about his girlfriend, Holly?"

"As long as Jack's happy." I said.

He nodded. "What is it about Jack that made you two so close."

"Um, I really don't know. We just had so much in common, I guess. It's kind of like he's my other half. But I don't know." I said, changing my position on the couch, "I mean, growing up without a father figure is kind of hard.. Ya know? So, when I started getting close to Jack, I kind of expected him to look out for me like a father should. Make sure no guys are just using me, give me advice, teach me some guy stuff.. That kinda thing. And he did it all."

The guy nodded at me.

"Is this whole interview going to be about Jack?" I laughed in my microphone.

"Most of it. I'm a Jaddy shipper." He smiled at me. Which caused me to laugh. "I've seen many pictures of you and Jack in public, holding hands and hugging, and showing so much affection. Care to explain?"

"I've gotten asked this question so many times." I smiled and looked down, then back up at the guy.

"Basically, what it is.. Is Jack and I are very affectionate people. But, usually only towards each other. Honestly, we don't even know why. It just comes so naturally. It's weird. I wish I could describe it.. But I just can't."

"And what does his girlfriend think of all this?" He asked.

"Hell if I know." I said, then looked at the camera man, "Oops. Sorry."

I forgot I'm not allowed to swear in this interveiw.

"Um, I really don't know. The other day I tweeted about Jack and she responded and informed me that I'm not dating him. Obviously I know that. And then she said I was obsessed with him."

"Are you?"

"I mean.." I laughed, "As much as I hate to admit it.. I guess we both are kind of obsessed with each other. I was just thinking about this the other day.. It's weird. Like, everything we do.. Is together. I'm honestly surprised he's not in the room with us right now."

He nodded again. "Would you ever date Jack?"

I laughed, "I mean, if we actually liked each other. Maybe we would date. But we don't like each other like that. We're just friends. Plus, I don't know. Because of the band. If we ever broke up, it could possibly ruin the band, ya know? And I don't know if I would want to take that risk."

Then Matt came in and said the guy had to leave because the show is starting. I said goodbye and shook his hand then found the guys.

"How was the one-on-one interview?" Jack asked.

"Kind of awkward. Everything was about you." I said, taking my guitar from Danny, our guitar tech guy.

"Like what?" He laughed.

"I dunno. You have to watch it."

"WHAT THE FUCK IS UP, NEW YORK CITY?" Alex shouted, his usual greeting for our concerts.

"Who's ready to have an awesome fucking time?" Jack asked.

The crowd cheered and we began playing The Beach. Halfway through the song, I stood up on the stereo and played. By the second verse, I threw my pic into the crowd and heard a scream. Which meant someone caught it. I laughed and got off the stereo and headed to my mic stand and grabbed a new one.

The show went on, and when we were preforming Paint You Wings, I noticed Pierce The Veil walk on stage. They all had pieces of pizza in their hands and sat down on the stereos.

The crowd laughed and we continued ot play as they sat there and ate, like they were alone. I saw Mike wave at a couple of fans.

When the song finished I walked up to Tony and took his slice from his hand and started to eat it.

"Dude!" He shouted and I ran away, and he chased me around the stage for it.

The crowd laughed and Jack and Alex cracked a few jokes, then PTV left.

"We'll be getting them back, soon." Jack informed. Then we started to play Stella.

After I asked Rian if we could switch positions for the next song.

He agreed and I handed him my guitar and he handed me his drum sticks.

I sat at the drums and laughed at Rian, because this is going to be funny as shit.

"Okay.." Alex said, "This next one is called Break Out! Break Out!"

"It's about my herpes." Jack added.

"Jack, you make that joke every fucking show." Rian said from my microphone.

"And they laugh every fucking show sooooooo smd."

"Did you really just use texting lingo in real life?" Rian asked.

"Here's the song!" Alex shouted.

We all started to play and it sounded terrible. I hit random drums and Rian plucked random strings.

"OH GOD STOP." Alex shouted and we all stopped and laughed.

I stood up from the drums and switched places with Rian again.

We always got crazy with New York.

But this was probably the best show in a while.
