Alex's party was going absolutely amazing. Lisa invited so many people, it was crazy. Almost everyone from high school. All my old high school friends and acquaintances. Even people I never hoped to see after high school. But it's okay, some of them ignored me, which was normal and kind of nice. The others tried to kiss up to me because I was now somewhat famous. Or maybe they really did change? Yeah, the first answer is more realist.
I was sitting on the couch with my old friend, Mackenzie. Her physical appearance was much different now then in high school. Back in high school, she was known for how beautiful she was. Her went down to her butt and fell in gorgeous blonde waves. She has bright blue eyes and was super skinny. Now, she's gained some weight, but not too much, chopped off her hair so it fell right about her shoulders, dyed it black, and covered her body in tattoos. She even pierced her lip and gauged her ears. I think it's safe to say she's more punk then me.
I laughed at my own joke and got to thinking about how much I've changed since high school. Or how much all of the guys changed since high school. Back in highschool, we were all failed 'punk's.
I teased my hair higher then the Sears fucking tower. And I thought wearing black eyeliner down to my fucking lips was attractive. Don't get me wrong, lots of girls can pull off this look. But me? Hell no. Not to mention I had these colorful ass braces on my teeth for three years? But by senior year, I stopped teasing it, but thought it would be super badass if I dyed it bright blue. It went from blue to purple to green to pink then finally I went dark brown again.
Jack definitely changed. I remember he started off with this terrible hair cut. It was basically a bowl cut. But probably a lot worse. And his body was so awkwardly shaped. So skinny and tall. By his senior year though, he had his hair grown out a lot, and thought he could be super punk if he put blonde chunks in it.. It didn't look too bad, but he definitely got some looks from strangers.
Anyways, I was in the middle of laughing with Mackenzie about my high school awkwardness, when I was cut off my back.
"Ken," He said, "Mind if I borrow Maddy from you?"
"Go right ahead." She smiled and walked away.
He held his hand out, "Join me outside?"
"Why you talking all proper and shit?" I laughed and took his hand. He pulled me up and we walked to the door and put on our coats then headed outside.
I walked to the garage and leaned my back on it, "What's up, Barakat?"
He smiled at me before pressing his lips onto mine. We stood there for a moment kissing, I grabbed onto his unzipped jacket. Holding it open with my hands. I used this to pull him closer to me, so our bodies were pressed up against each other.
When we pulled away he said, "That's all?"
"That's why you took me out here?" I laughed.
He laughed back and nodded. "I missed my Maddawg." He said, ruffling my hair.
I smiled and changed the subject. "Can we go back inside?"
"Or can we slide down that ice?" He said, turning his head and pointing at the ice on the driveway.
"Now, Jacky. Is that very safe?"
He shrugged and pulled away from me, and ran and slid arcoss the ice.
"MADDY. JOIN ME."
I raised my eyebrows at him, "You're crazy, Wildcat."
"Did you just quote High School Musical?" He asked.
"That I did." I said, shoving my hands into my pockets. It's so cold outside.
He made a puppy dog face and made grabby hands at me. I just laughed and ran and slid on the ice, bumping into him and knocking us both over into the snow. I landed ontop of him and he wrapped his arm around my waist as we laid there for a moment.
"You're the best," He laughed.
"Yeaahhh, but you're better." I smiled, kissing his nose.
He smirked at me before I stood up and helped him up.
"Let's go back insideeee." I repeated myself.
He just laughed and we walked back inside, hand in hand. Then headed over to see people started to play karaoke.
"MADDY WE ARE SO DOING THAT." He pointed at the screen. Before I could have a say in it, he grabbed my hand and pulled me to the song book.
I just shrugged and helped pick out a song.
"MADDY LOOK IT'S OUR JAM." He shouted. What's up with this guy and shouting all of a sudden?
We picked up the microphones and stood infront of the screen and sang along to Last Resort by Papa Roach. Which might I say was fucking hilarious.
Then Jack called Alex up and they sang Barbie Girl by Aqua. Which was even funnier. I recorded it on keek then saved it and uploaded it to instagram. I'm a terrible person.
We were all eating this huge ass cake Lisa got. I was sitting on Jack's lap at the table, when he said, "Mad.. Does this smell funky to you?" He pointed at the cake.
"Jack, I'm not falling for-" But I was cut off by the cake smashing into my face.
"Awe, babe." He smiled, "You have a little something on your mouth."
I smirked, then smiled and batted my eyes, "Get it off for me?"
As he leaned in to kiss me, I smashed my cake into his face.
I laughed and his jaw dropped, "Oh it's on, Allbourne!" Before smashing more cake into my face. Before I knew it we were going back and forth slapping each other in the face with cake.
"Guys!" Alex yelled, "You're getting it everywhere!"
We both looked up at him, then at each other and smirked.
"What are you guys planning.." Alex said, suddenly sounding worried.
I wiped some of the cake off Jack's face and smacked Alex with it. His face was priceless.
I think it's safe to say I was having the best night I have in a while.
