Your POV

I walked alongside Gene in the halls, my hand in his. Every once-in-a-while he would shoot me one of those stunning smiles of his, which was honestly the cutest thing ever! People stared at us strangely as we continued walking, but I just glared right back at them. Nobody will ever come between me and my Geney~Weney, not even that stupid Zane!

As we reached my locker, I stopped, bending down to open it. I felt Gene's eyes on me as I unlocked my locker, pulling out my HUGE Latin textbook. It was honestly too much for one girl to handle.

I closed my locker and stood up, struggling to carry all my work. I tried to do it myself to impress Gene, but apparently that didn't work.

"Hey, you need some help with tha-" Gene started to ask, but was rudely interrupted by the heavy textbook falling ON HIS DAMN FOOT! He yelped in pain as I snatched it from the ground, apologizing immediately. Gene laughed and took the textbook from me, ignoring my protests. "You obviously need the help, Kitty. I won't take no for an answer."

I sighed, knowing that he always won, and started to walk the halls with him again. We came across Reni, who gaped at us as if she'd never seen us before.

"(Y/n), what the hell are you doing?"

I gaped at her, surprised. "Reni? You know that Gene and I are dating, we've been doing it for months now!"

"Y-you are? But what about Zane?" Reni asked, confused.

"Zane? Oh, he can burn in hell," I snapped. Gene and I started to laugh, enjoying the look on his face as he passed us. He looked so sad, so weak...

"Why would you say something like that about Zane? He is- I mean was your boyfriend after all," Reni pointed out. I wrinkled my nose in disgust.

"What? Loser boy and I in a relationship? You must be joking, Reni."

"She's delusional. No offense," Gene agreed.

I truly felt sorry for the poor werewolf, but I wasn't going to hang around someone who might do something stupid. "Sorry Reni, but we really should be getting to class. Later."

We started to walk away, leaving a very frazzled Reni behind us. I wanted to turn back and ask her why she thought Zane and I were dating, but Gene pulled me forward.

"I like your bad girl side. It makes you look cute," Gene said, a light blush dusting his cheeks. I laughed and put a hand on my hip, saying a stream of curse words that caused us to laugh even more.

I don't know of anyone else who is as perfect as the boy beside me.

Reni's POV

I don't get it. How could (Y/n) just ditch Zane and pretend as if nothing happened? It isn't right. I mean, sure, I have a crush on the boy, but I must admit, (Y/n) treated him well. They were perfect together, meant to be. This is why I felt so guilty when I saw the look Zane had on his face when he passed (Y/n) trash-talking him. I was convinced to go after him for a moment, but held back.

Instead, I should investigate more, find out the whole story. I knew that (Y/n) wouldn't dump her boyfriend like this so suddenly, so I decided to see if any witches were behind this. First, I went to a random green-haired girl, with a pointed hat and a staff.

"Excuse me, who's the top witch in the school?"

The girl's jaw dropped, then she burst out laughing. "Wow, I thought even non-witches would know! No offense, darling."

"None taken," I growled, even though I was deeply offended. "Can I have his or her name, please?"

"Hm... what's in it for me?"
