Fuck where you're from
And the set you claim
When we have the
Same blood running
Through our veins
When our skin's
Tinged just the same
And when we have the very same
Cross to bare
-the very same plight
What the fuck are
You fighting for
Amongst each other
When we don't even have
Basic human rights
-what justice do you gain
In the shooting of a gun
-when the bullet that hits
Is your culture's son
-the future of our people
And generations to come
-dumb doesn't begin to define
That state of mind
-nor does nigger
-because you have this knowledge
-just don't care to look in the mirror
-it's insanity
Mental illness at best
You have nothing to bequest
Since you weren't given anything
From the jest
Of your birth
To a broken home
Let me guess
-neglect
Abuse
Crime
And the list goes on
A misanthrope
Amongst humanity
-not loved
Adored
Cherished
Prized
Or hoped for
-more like deplored
Ignored
And endured
-couldn't cry about it
Because you're too hard for tears
So you tattooed tears on your face
-a signature of your further disgrace
To your people
-a testament to the evil
That "black men" do
-so stereotypical
We wish we could bury you
But you're so cold
So callous
You'd resurrect like a demon
Believing you're the black He-man
But what's the source of your strength?
Where do your super powers lie?
What the fuck have you ever had to contribute to society?
With no self-respect
Or propriety
And no moral fiber
And it's a sad truth
That as much as I hate you
I have to love you
Because
Blood of my blood
I can't forget you
Or let the world
Further misdirect and misguide you
I only wish you'd adopt my state of mind
-that you could see the signs!
That you carry the weight of your people
In every decision you make
In every fuckin' breath that you take
-why be our fatal mistake
-why lay dying -awake
-why be a soul forsaken
-a brutal investigation
-a total annihilation
- a vein that's seen mutilation
-a heart that suffers from infestation
-a mind that's consumed by your past
When at present
You have the power
To change it
Because for the future
To get better
Your life has to matter
To yourself!
