[ Chapter 9 - A Raid? This Is A Hulk-Worthy Situation ]
Part One
It was an awkward first few days.
Draco and I rarely talked to the team, and in turn, they barely talked to us. In fact, sometimes the only time we would see each other was during dinner, as Captain America insisted for the whole team to be there if possible.
But the situation never changed until one day, within the first week:
There were flashes of multi-coloured lights, yelling, running and screaming.
"Lita, I'll be fine over here, you go do your thing, okay?"
"I promised your brother that I would take care of you, I'm not leaving your side." I scoffed, shooting even more blasting curses and watched as the Death Eaters dropped like flies.
"And you saw your own brother, didn't you?" He cast a spell and the Death Eater screamed with laughter before he stunned him.
"It's fine."
"Lita, just go." He gestured over to Percy who had came over to our side. "Perce will take care of me."
I hesitated, glancing at the dwindling number of Death Eaters on our side of the castle. "You sure you'll be fine?"
"Of course I will! Have some faith in me, alright?"
I woke up with a gasp, noting the tears on my face as I shut my eyes again, desperately trying to forget the dream.
"Calli?" There was a soft knock on the door, and I answered a wavering 'come in' after I hastily wiped most of the tears away.
"Are you alright?" I asked, plastering on a small smile. "What's up?"
"I thought I heard you crying." Draco said softly.
"Oh?" I refused to meet his eyes, in fear he might know what had happened. "Why are you up anyway?"
He shrugged. "Couldn't sleep."
"Same." I had an idea and dug around for my wand in the drawer. "Since we both can't sleep, do you want to bake some cookies?"
"..Cookies?" Draco asked in surprise. "You can bake?"
"I've tried once or twice. And we have Jarvis here to assist us, right Jarvis?"
"Right, Miss Malfoy."
"It seems like it could be fun." Draco hesitated before answering. "Sure, let's go."
"Great! Do we have any baking supplies on this floor?"
"Unfortunately, no." Jarvis answered. "I advise you two to go to the communal kitchen, as there's an oven and all the necessary ingredients are there as well."
"Alright then, Jarvis. Let's go, Dray!"
"I told you not to call me Dray!" Draco scowled, but followed me to the elevator willingly.
It was to our surprise when the elevator doors opened that Captain America, (or Steve Rogers, as he had insisted) was sitting at the kitchen table with a sketching pad and some pencils.
"Captain." I said in surprise, as Draco stiffened beside me.
"Oh, I didn't expect to see you two this late. Anything wrong?" He looked just as surprised as us, but hid it quickly under an inscrutable expression.
"No, nothing's wrong, we just wanted to bake."
"..At three a.m. in the morning?"
I shrugged, looking at him warily. "We couldn't sleep. And what about you, Captain? Are we bothering you?"
