[ Chapter 11 - Robots Crash The Party ]
"Calli!" I heard someone call me as soon as I ran out of that elevator.
I only saw a brief glance of platinum blonde hair before I was suddenly hugged.
"Nice to see you too, Draco." I ruffled his hair, despite me being shorter than him.
As soon I was released from the hug, he hit me on the arm.
"Ow! Why is everyone hitting me in the same spot today?" I exclaimed.
"You had me worried." Draco scowled. "Why the hell didn't you call us? Why did you face them alone? Why-"
"Okay, slow down." I said and put my hands on his shoulders. "I am fine, as you can see. But I can't understand questions that are shot at me as fast as the snitch okay?"
He rolled his eyes at me. "Glad to see your sense of humour and sarcasm survived the attack."
"You're so hilarious too, Draco." I deadpanned.
He sighed. "Why do I have you as my sister again?"
"Because fate loves you." I grabbed his arm and dragged him to the snack table.
"More like hates me." He mumbled under his breath. I pretended not to hear it and instead focused on the food.
"What should I attack first?" I mumbled under my breath and decided on the chocolate cake.
"So, how was the mission after I went missing?" I asked Draco, while eating my cake.
He smacked my shoulder. "You scared me, you know that?"
"Hey! I'm the older one here!" I protested.
"And the mission went fine, but Clint got hurt. He was shot." Draco ignored me.
"Wait, is he okay?"
"Yeah, he's fine. He's been making jokes all morning." Draco groaned. "And they're not even good jokes."
"Aww, poor Draco. I know you suffered without my presence." I said dramatically.
"More like enjoyed." Draco grumbled under his breath.
I shot him a glare. "Don't make me throw this delicious chocolate cake at your face."
"I am starting to understand why people say we bicker a lot." He said, ignoring my last statement.
"You just realized it?" Another voice joined the conversation.
"Steve." I nodded at him. "Are you going to join the 'Let's hit Calli' party?"
He chuckled as he leaned on the table opposite us. "I'm a gentleman, Calli, I don't hit people."
I raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, I don't hit innocent people." Steve amended his sentence.
"Glad to know that." I still moved slightly further away from him, just in case.
"Look, Calli, I'm sorry for-" Steve started apologizing.
"No." I cut him off. "It wasn't your fault at all, don't you dare blame yourself."
Steve cracked a smile. "Who told you?"
"For one thing it's super obvious by the look on your face." I gave him a soft smile. "But seriously, don't blame yourself, okay."
"Hey, Steve, about our conversation earlier-"
A dark-skinned man around the same height as Steve, wearing a cool looking jacket strolled up to us.
