[ Chapter 7 - Some Proving Must Be Done ]

"Isn't this fun, Draco?" I giggled as I spun around and around on a muggle chair.

"Not exactly." He replied. "It makes me feel sick."

"You're no fun." I pouted.

"I am fun. It's just that you and me have very different ideas of fun." He said.

"I'm very sure we should have at least a few ideas of fun in common."

Yes, we are bickering. Again. We were brought into some sort of flying thing which made me feel kind of sick when I looked out the windows.

We had departed that flying thing a while ago though, and was brought to this underground base of some sort?

Then we were brought to a completely white room, with some sort of mirror on one side with a table and three chairs in the middle. We were to wait for someone.

I'm very sure if I paid more attention in Muggle Studies I would have known what this was. I very much regret it.

"Could you stop spinning?" Draco said. "It's giving me a headache."

"But there's nothing else to do." I said. "Unless you want to sleep."

"I would actually appreciate sleep right now."

"Do you two ever stop arguing?" The door opened and a guy with a black trench coat, boots and an eye patch walked in.

"No,we can't. We're twins. It's what we do." I said with a bright smile.

The guy closed the door and sat in the chair opposite us.

"I am Director Nick Fury. And you can call me Director, or Fury, nothing else." He said. "What are your names and age?"

Draco glanced at me as in, Is it a good idea to say?

I hesitated but stated, "I'm Callista Malfoy. This is my twin brother, Draco Malfoy. We're both currently eighteen, but will be nineteen soon."

"Where are you from?"

"London." I answered again. "We moved here a few days ago."

"And do you know why are you here?"

"No, actually." Draco said. "Those people, the Avengers said-"

"-that you wanted to ask us a few questions." I smirked. Draco and I did have twin telepathy, but not as good as the Weasley twins, as we didn't really spend time together.

"I see. Well, you are here because a security camera at the park filmed something strange. You two suddenly disappeared into thin air. There was also film of Agent Barton suddenly attacked by birds and getting boils."

"And how is that evidence?" I said innocently. "The security camera could have malfunctioned and we had walked away by the it started working again. Agent Barton could have been a very unlucky guy that day."

"There is also the fact that when the team asked you to come peacefully, you ran and even somehow defended yourselves by creating fog of some sort." Fury said.

"I know, we're that amazing." Draco said sarcastically.

"They also reported big amounts of sarcasm."

"Yes, it's because we're the gods of sarcasm. Obviously." I smiled.

"And I am seeing that in action right now." He sighed. "If you just admit that you did those things, and how you did it, this would be so much easier."

"Oh right. I forgot." I said to Draco.

He rolled his eyes. "Of course, you did."

"It was fun, okay!" I rolled my eyes at Draco and leaned forward. "Do you believe in magic, Nick- I mean, Director?"

"Okay first of all, I know it may be hard to believe, but I'm older than you, so I will prefer if you call me 'sir' or 'Fury'. Second of all, magic? No. There is usually a scientific explanation to everything." He paused before adding, "Except for maybe Thor, I suppose."

"Well, believe it or not we used magic to accomplish those doings you speak of." Draco said.

"It doesn't seem possible." He said.

"What if we could prove to you that it is real?" I asked.

"I've seen a lot of things in this lifetime, I guess I could handle knowing something else is real."

"Okay then..." I said. "May I?"

"Of course." He said.

"Here, Draco." I tossed him his wand after I found it in my pocket.

"Didn't you say a 'safe place'?!"

I ignored him. "Firstly, Homenum Revelio."

I felt six presences behind the mirror thing.

"Are by any chance the Avengers behind that um, glass thing?" I said.

"Well yeah, but that's not really magical, is it?"

I cast an identifier charm that I had found in an old library book. "They're sitting in this order from left to right; Captain America, Clint Barton, Black Widow, Thor, Bruce Banner and Tony Stark."

He raised his eyebrows. "I'll give you points for that. Anything else you wanna show me?"

"Fine." Draco pointed his wand at the door. "Is the door locked?"

"Yes it is."

"Alohomora."

There was a click and Fury strode over and opened the door.

"Not bad." He said grudgingly. "What else could you unlock with that?"

I shrugged. "Basically anything, as long as it isn't guarded by other magic."

He stayed silent for a while, staring at us, probably trying to assess if we were a threat.

"Magic is real. Why wouldn't it be? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since I have a Norse god in the next room."

"Exactly." I beamed. "That means you believe us, right?"

"Yeah, I believe you." He then narrowed his eye at us, interlacing his fingers and leaning back in his chair. "And now what I want to know is why you are here."

"Sir?" I feigned confusion.

"Since you have magic, I'm assuming that it would be very, very easy for you to get out of here if you wanted to. So my question is, why are you still here?"

I dropped the pleasant demeanor I was sporting, and cast a privacy ward, adding a silent Muffliato

"Can we trust you, Director?"

"I would say no," He replied, "But something tells me that you'll tell me anyway, probably with a curse of some sort."

I stayed silent, exchanging glances with Draco. Should we tell this man everything, about why we're here? Or maybe just the important details?

Soon enough, I came to a decision. "We're here because our government told us to tell you about the existence of magic."

"And why is that?"

I smiled, twirling my wand around my fingers. "To prevent the end of the universe."
