Chapter 23: Love you mom

*Ashley's p.o.v*

-The next day-

I put my fresh clothes on, take my bag and walk downstairs.

"Oh, dad you're here?" I say. Normally at this time he is always at work. "Yeah, I'll stay home until we leave. I'll pack some stuff and get all the things ready". "Oh okay, that's nice" I say.

I look to the direction where our kitchen is to check if Maria is there, but I think she isn't. "Dad what about Maria? Did you tell her?" I ask him. "Oh yes, of course I did" he says. "I'll miss her so much" I say. "Why? She'll come with us." He says.

"What? Really? Oh, didn't know that" I say smiling wide. "Now you do" he says, smiling back at me.

"Gotta go, see you soon" I say and give him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Where are you going?" he asks. Uhm...he doesn't have to know that I'm going to my moms grave. He may could get sad. "I'm gonna go to Giselle's" "Okay, have fun". "Thank you" I say and start walking to my car.

First I'll go to the flower shop and get her flowers. I stop at the first one I see.

I walk in and the smell of fresh flowers immediatly hits me. A bouquet of red roses is what I'm looking for. She loved them. It was her favorite. I take a one bouquet and pay for it.

I get back to my car and set the roses to the passenger seat. While driving through the city I realize I get more and more nervous every minute passing by. I haven't been there for I guess 3 years.

I arrive at my destination and get out the car with the roses in my hand. The big gate with 'cementery' written on it is right now my view.

I slowly walk and look at the surroundings. I keep walking until I see the grave. 'Eleanor Miller 1972-2013' is written on the gravestone.

"Hi mom" I simply say as a tear rolls down my face. "I know you are probably mad at me because I didn't visit you since ...you left me. But I just...couldn't do it. Oh and I brought you roses. I want you to know that I'm doing great and dad... well he is doing great also in his work life. Nothing is the same without you, but I know you'll be waiting for me up there" I say and sniff again. I now am pretty much bawling out my eyes.

"Mom, dad still loves you and thinks about you literally every day. He's changed, but he's still amazing. He is being very hard on himself, he is nonstop working. I finished
Highschool, but couldn't go to college, because depression took over me for a while. Just don't worry I'm stronger and better than ever. I still visit the orphanage and take care of it...just like you did. Now it's time for me and my dad to move to LA, so I won't be around for a while, keep an eye on the orphans mom." I say while whiping away my tears.

I look at the grave for a while. I feel my phone vibrating so I take out my phone, to see that Justin textet me.

Justin: babeee i'm so bored
Justin: and I miss youuu
Justin: sooo much

I smile at those texts. Sometimes he's like a teenager. Stupid boy. I decide to answer later.

"Oh and mom... I have a boyfriend now. Hard to believe, I know. Hahaha. It's Justin. Yes, you were right. You always said I'll meet him again whenever I was sad about him forgetting me. He was an asshole first, but then he was really nice to me and he's making me laugh all the time. Mom, I love you...a lot" I say.

I lay down the roses and start walking to my car. My phone vibrates again and I automatically start smiling, since I know it's Justin. I unlock my phone to read the text.

Blocked Number: stupid mommy's girl.

My smile immediatly fades and I look around. Who is it? I'm starting to panic. I turn around to see if someone's there, but nope.

I start running to my car. This is fucking scary. I immediatly jump into my car and drive away to giselles home.

I get out the car and walk to the front door. Right then my phone vibrates again so I take my phone out and unlock it.

1 New Message... from Justin thank god it's not the creepy person.

Justin: send nudes

I start laughing and start typing afterwards.

Ashley: I miss you toooo

Justin: I knew it would get your attention 😈

Ashley: I was at the cementery, visiting mom that's why i decided to answer later ❤

Justin: one day we'll visit her together but seriously tho send nudes

Ashley: hahahahah shut up

Justin: not fair... i have a suprise for you

Ashley: noooooooo. I hate suprises

Justin: you're gonna love it but you have to wait until we meet again.

Ashley: so?

Justin: 2 weeks.

Ashley: oh, that's still a lot

Justin: I know but we got this

Ashley: yeah. have to go giselle is waiting. Byeee

Justin: u always prefer her over me :(

Ashley: funny. She says the same about you hahaha. Talk to ya later

I walk towards the door and knock on the door. It doesn't take long and giselle opens the door.

I'm shoked. She's crying her eyes out. I immediatly hug her.

"What happend G??" I ask her.

I walk in, close the door and sit on the ground with her.

"Ashley...my mom and my dad died. Their plane crashed"
