Chapter 18: Cake

*Ashley's P.O.V*

I was staring at the emptiness, just thinking about who this could be.

"Boooh" I hear someone and as I turn around I see Giselle.

"Gosh, you scared me!" I say, trying to settle my breath back down.

"I'm sowwyyy" she says with a childish voice.

"Hi Giselle, I missed you" Elise says and stands up to hug her. "Elise, I missed you too, that's why I came here" she says and hugs her.

Then Justin stands up and says "Hey, I'm Justin" to her just like a normal person. "Oh my god, I know who you are you don't have to introduce yourself. Sexy boy" She says and walks to him to hug him. Great Giselle, you just had to show him how awkward you are. Justin smiles at her and hugs back.

"Giselle, did you send me the picture?" I ask her. Justin looks at me and then to the big windows. Giselle smiles and says "Who else could it be?"

I unlock my phone and realize that I didn't read who sent me this. I'm just being paranoid.

"Can I see the picture?" Justin asks. "I wanna see it too" I hear Elise say. I show them the picture and the both smile wide.

"You look like a married coupl" Elise says and I freeze. Justin looks at Elise unbelievingly, smiles and then looks at me. We look at each other for a little bit more.

"Pff, as if  I would marry this crazy and stupid boy, Elise" I say jokingly. Justin looks at me, acting shocked.

"Did you just call him crazy and stupid? Oh hell nah, Ashley. Look at this pure beauty" Giselle says.

"Just because he apparently is beautiful doesn't mean he's not stupid" I say smiling and looking at Justin, just to make sure that he doesn't take this seriously.

"Who said that I would want to marry you?" Justin says looking at me and smiling.

"I'm all the way on Justins side" Giselle says. "Wow, you just dumped me for someone you just met, Giselle" I say and hear Elise giggling.

"I mean can you blame me? It's Justin Bieber" she says and Justin smiles at her. I can feel that he's happy that she's on his side.

"...and you argue like a married couple" Elise says an Justin and I immediately look at her, then at eachother. 

"I guess we're kind of cute" Justin says and puts his arm on my shoulder. "Please define cute, Justin" I say and start laughing. I shove his arm away and walk towards Elise and hug her. "Hey" he says in a sad voice and pouts. 

Elise  starts laughing and says "She loves me more than you" Then she sticks her tounge out. Justin runs to her and starts to tickle her. Her laugh fills the whole room.

"They get along so well" Giselle says. "They do" I say still looking at them. Then Giselle and I  walk to some other kids and play with them.

After a while of talking with them, , drawing, coloring, playing and taking photos Josh came up to me. "Ashley look this is my birthday cake, Justin and I made it" He says and Justin comes after him.

"Oh it looks delicious, do you want me to cu-" No way. Justin and Josh just threw the whole cake at my face. The whole room fills with laughter and I'm still frozen in place.

I look down at my shirt and it's full of cake. I lookat Justin and Josh and they were laughing too. Just then I bursted out of laughter.

"Wow Josh, you got me good" I say and try to stop myself from laughing. "It was Justin's idea" He says. I look at Justin and say "Thank you so much, the cake  tastes amazing"  and press my finger onto my face and put it in my mouth.

Justin laughs again. "Oh don't you want to kiss meee?" I say, making a kissy face and standing up. "Ugh...not when your face is full of cake" He says and starts running away. I start running after him.  Not that I want to kiss him, but I want to smear cake all over his face too.

About 10 steps later I slip and fall down onto my butt. "Ouch" I say and stand up. Justin runs back to me and asks "Are ou okay?" with a smile on his face.

"It hurts a little bit" I say rubbing my ass. Right then I take some of the cake on my face and smear it on his face. "Got you" I say smiling.

He takes a little bit of the cake into his mouth and says "It really tastes amazing. I shouldn't have wasted that on you".

I stand up and walk to the bathroom. I wash my face to clean the mess. And then dry it with a towel. Then I see Justin in the mirror.

"You're so beautiful" he says. "Oh... thank you" I say, not really knowing what to say. I didn't expect that. 

I turn to him."Let's give them their presents" I suggest and he nodds his head. We walk to his car and take all the toys, then we walk back inside.

We gave them the presents and they were so happy. It's been a while since I saw them this happy. And it makes me so happy to see them like this. I lost my mom, but they lost both of their parents or their whole family or even worse some of their parents just didn't want to take care of their own children. They are just between 4 and 10 year old children and they already have gone through a lot of things.

I feel my phone vibrate so I take it out.

1 New Message.

Dad: we need to talk princess, can you come home?

I quickly text him back.

Ashley: yeah sure. I'm in the orphanage, I'll be there soon.

"Uhm Justin, can you take me home?" I ask him. "Yeah sure, lets say goodbye to the kids" he says and walks away to say goodbye to the kids.

"I have to go now, dad wants to talk to me" I say to Giselle and hug her. "Oh I'll stay here. What does he want to talk about?" She asks curious. "I really don't know, but I'll tell you as soon as I know" "Okay, bye... but can Justin stay" she says jokingly. "No Giselle no" I say while smiling.

I say bye to everyone and they make me promise to come with Justin again. Of course I couldn't say no.  Justin and I walk to the car and drive off.

"It was a nice idea to come here they are all so nice and cool kids" Justin says. "Especially Elise, she's such a cutie" he adds. "Yes. They all were so happy. Thank you, Justin" I say.

"No, thank you for bringing me here. It made me realize that we're not gonna have our parents by our sides forever" He says and I nodd my head agreeing with him.

"Why do you have such a good bond with Ellise?" He asks me.

"Uhm I was at the orphanage for the first time when I met her. She came in to the big room we were today all crying, it was her first day there. She lost her parents and her big sister at a car accident and I couldn't stand seeing her crying. The reality hit me. So I always talked to her and I promised to be here for her whenever she needs me, since then we're like sisters" I tell him.

"You are so nice and down to earth, Ashley. I admire that so much" he says looking at me for a second and then back to the road. I smile at him.

"We're here" he says. "Thank you, Justin" I say and smile big at him. "No big deal. Thank you for this amazing day." He says.

"Lets take a photo to remember this nice day" I say and he takes out his phone. "Bye" I say and  step out of the car. I wave at him and walk inside.

"Hi, I'm here" I yell and walk to the living room. I guess Maria is not here.  I see my dad standing with his arms crossed, looking at our backyard. He turns around and looks at me.

"Sit down, Ashley" he says. "Dad? What's going on?" I ask him.

"We need to talk"
