Kit looked at Emilia and she stared back at him with tears in her eyes.
“What?” Emilia said she was so angry and hurt that she couldn’t even stop her own body from shaking.
“I just need you to listen to me” Kit took a step closer to her, all the anger he felt a few moments before, was gone when he saw her tears.
“I’m listening” she crossed her arms, he felt her so distant he needed to feel her closer.
He took another step and was almost touching her arm.
“It’s not what it seems… Kate….”
“Is not Stiles ex…” she looked down “You lied”
“I… I didn’t mean to, I wasn’t thinking Emilia you know what I feel for you”
Kit took her hand and Emilia felt her stomach flipped.
“I don’t know how you feel anymore…” she whispered and Kit felt a pain in his chest.
He frowned
“What do you mean by that? Em it wasn’t a big deal” he didn’t understand why she was so shaken.
“Not a big deal? Kit you promised not to lie! I’m sick of people lying to me!”
“Em I’m sorry ok? I just wanted to keep you out of this… she is…”
Emilia took her hand away from his and sighed
“Yes, yes I know how insane she is...how she does terrible things and bla bla bla….” she rolled her eyes, she was tired of listening to the same excuse “Stiles told me that like a thousand times…”
Kit felt he was being stabbed with a knife on his back every time he heard Stiles’s name.
“You really need to stop this Kit…” she said
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry” he was not going to admit it but the pain he felt when he looked into her eyes and saw how angry she was, was horrible.
“I’m going to ask you something and please be honest with me…” she said and Kit nodded.
“Anything…” he said
“Were you really meeting some friends from school 2 weeks ago?” she asked.
Kit froze, his heart started beating fast and he felt his legs shaking. She would never understand the truth.
“Emilia… I’ve never done anything to hurt you… I was just….”
“Kit please… just tell me the truth… were you with Kate?” when she said her name tears started to form again in her eyes she could feel them.
