Chapter 29

Patrick's pov

Ryan carried Brandie out to the car and it was kinda bugging me that they were so close. Ry has a girlfriend that he loves. So he doesn't like her. But what is it!? It's driving me crazy!

Ryan's pov

I put Brandie in Pete's car and she looked at me and smiled, "Thanks Ryry."

My chest rumbled as I chuckled, "No problem."

I went to walk away and shut the door to get in my car, but she grabbed my hand demanding,

"Where do I know you from. I knew you before I was famous didn't I?"

I nodded and she looked at me with pleading eyes. Should I tell her? My teeth held my bottom lip captive as I contemplated telling her.

Finally I gave in. I took a deep breath before explaining, "Brandie. Please don't hate me for not telling you sooner. But remember that kid in school you stood up for when he was bullied? The one who lived a street over from the orphanage?"

She nodded and I continued, "I'm that kid. I remembered you. But I knew you wouldn't remember me after the car accident. You lost that part of your memory and I moved. We were best friends, but I didn't wanna saw anything in case you didn't remember me."

She hugged me saying, "I remember the things we did. Just not who you were. In my memories you were a boy with a blank face. Ryan I missed you so much." She latched her arms around my neck loosely and buried her face in my chest.

I wrapped my arms around her waist as she laughed, "Oh my god you still smell like vanilla!"

After a failed attempt to contain my laughter I was finally able to gasp, "You only gave me like a 10 year supply of vanilla scented stuff for my birthday as a joke!"

She laughed again before saying, "I got you a real present too! Didn't I give you an amazing guitar?"

Brandy did give me an amazing Fender acoustic guitar. I hugged her tighter and kissed the top of her head smiling,

"You did."

We stayed like that and both jumped when we heard Patrick and Pete exclaim, "What the fuck!?"
