Chapter 51

Brandie's pov

We were at lunch and talking about what we'd been through. It was nothing new. I taught myself most of it. Now it was just perfecting it.

Rose smiled at me from across the table saying, "Hey Brandie. They're choosing the captain for the Olympic Team at the end of next week. Only people who are the best and wish to run can be chosen. You should run. You're training at an advanced level. The mew tea, will win gold if your captain."

"Then can I go home once we've won?" I asked. She nodded and I smiled and stood up saying,

"Then I'll do it!"

"Where are you going? You barely touched your lunch!" Emily yelled after me.

I turned around yelling, "To practice! I need to make sure I'm captain!" I heard them laughing and following me.

Maxine was the first to catch up and she put a hand on my shoulder smiling, "Well then we'll help you. I mean we've got experience and we're your friends. But remember just cause we're friends doesn't mean that we'll cut you any slack."

Deanna quickly added, "And we might also make you want to cry."

I shook my head saying, "I'm insulted! I am not a cry baby!"

Emily laughed and asked, "Hey if your friends and family are still in town do you wanna go to dinner with me, my bros band, these fools, and two first years who happen to be Rose's cousins?"

A smile crept onto my face as I smiled, "That'd be great."

We done training for the day and Deanna, Rose, Max, and Emily were following me to my dorm. Since they wanted to meet Billie and Ruby.

I opened the door and Billie and Ruby smiled at me and when they saw Rose demanded in unison,

"Why the fuck is our cousin here?!"
