Chapter 64

Brandie's pov

I snuck into my dorm since it was past curfew. But the head of the Academy said I could be out past curfew since the plane crash yesterday, and my new found case of cancer. But Bethany would still give me hell about it.

Once I was in my dorm I saw Billie and Ruby talking in the middle of it. They looked up at me with tears in their eyes. They ran over and hugged me saying,

"We just found out about the cancer."

I looked at them kinda creeped out. They said that at the same time. I sighed before asking,

"Anyone else know?"

They shook their heads and I ran a hand through my hair sighing, "Don't tell anyone okay. I have the day from training off tomorrow. I'm suppose to follow your guys around. And if my hip starts to bother me, I need to get a crutch or stay in the nurse's office. I'm tired I'm changing and going to bed. Night." They nodded and climbed into their beds.

I pulled on sweat pants and a tank top before painfully climbing Ito my bed. That's gonna me great when I'm on crutches after the surgery.

I tugged blankets over me before dozing off into a light dreamless sleep.

The ceiling was white. I learned that after hours of staring at it. I slept for about 4 hours. Before I couldn't sleep anymore. Fucking insomnia. I hate it! so much! But yeah. So I had nothin better to do then stare at the ceiling till like 6 or whatever. Cause classes start fucking late.

Finally we were dressed and doing something. Me limping already since I jumped down from my bed. I never had trouble and now the doctor used something to make it easier to remove it. So it hurts like all the damn time.

"You okay?" Billie asked. I nodded and she grabbed my arm ad helped me painfully limp out of the dorm; Ruby barking,

"I am getting you a crutch! and the nurse is gonna make you stay in her office until first period so I'll bring you breakfast."

"I'm not really that hungry. I'll get to the nurses on my own. Thanks guys. See you in class." I painfully limped away. Billie and Ruby tried to follow me at first but I threatened to hit them with my crutch and be like a bag lady. Yes I would do that to get them to stop fussing over me. I don't like a big fuss. It annoys me.

I got crutches from the nurse's office and now I was in first period with Billie and Ruby. Which was math. And it was stupidly easy. Sniper math is easy for me.Guess I got that from my dad. 

The teacher knocked on my desk and pointed to the clock. I nodded and stood up; grabbing my crutches. I get to leave with Billie and Ruby 3 minutes early from every class. It's helpful.

I plopped onto the floor in the middle of our dorm. Billie and Ruby laughed as I did an army crawl to get to the bean bags so I could sit down and watch tv. I flipped on the tv and noticed it was live with the guys at the airport. They were hounding Pete with questions and he paused and looked at the camera saying, 

"I really need to catch my flight and Brandie if you're watching we're not giving up that easy. Plus you can't survive long with out your phone." He held it up with a smile and I glared. It was a mistake to leave it there. And he's right. I NEED my phone.
