Steve frowned, earning an explanation from the 18 years old Hayden.

"You said I can choose my aide."

"That little piece of trash?" Steve growled.

"He's useless." Maz said.

"I don't care. I'm taking this one." Hayden said and crossed his arms.

Steve sighed and nodded to Maz, gesturing them to get me and drag me into a car.

After what felt like forever, the car stopped and the guys dragged me into the cave, leaving me with Luke and Hayden as Hayden explained me what I had to do. Basically it was nothing, he'd just saved me, that's why until this point I hadn't done any harm to anyone besides the few fights that Hayden insisted me to help with.

Because of Hayden I was alive and how did I thank him? By taking away who he loves.

He was never going to forgive me.

Leah's Point Of View

I heard the bell ring, signalising that someone was at my door just as I had predicted after Hayden telling me to close everything.

I hesitated but stood up, making my way into the kitchen, to look out of the window.

Zahir.

I walked over to the door and opened it as Zahir walked in.

"Hey.. er.. Listen." He began, but paused to take a deep breath, closing his eyes.

"What's wrong, Zahir?" I asked, frowning as I walked towards him.

"Hey, did you already work on our project today?" He asked as he rubbed the back of his neck.

I shook my head, taking a step back.

"Let's go over and work on it." He said eagerly, as if he was in a kind of rush.

"Hayden forbid me to go there again." I said and backed up a bit more, because the longer he was here, the more it made me feel uncomfortable.

"Oh c'mon, screw Hayden." He said as he walked up to me, making a fist in his pocket.

"I really don't want t- FUCK." I said as I recognized one of Hayden's pals walking towards my house with a rope in his hand. I turned around to run upstairs, Zahir closely on my heel as I shot the door closed, locking it.

I looked around and decided to act like in one of the CSI episodes I had seen.

I opened the window to make it look like I would have escaped from there and then crawled under my bed.

I reached for my phone and grabbed it shakily as I tried to type my code in.

Wrong Pass code

Please try again.

I tried it again, my hands still shaking.

Wrong Pass code

Please try again

I heard someone kicking against the door, making the frame move as I tried again.

Wrong Pass code

Please try again.

I cried silently and shut my eyes tightly when I heard the door slam open.

"Fuck! She ran away." Zahir exclaimed, but I could hear a tiny bit of relieve.

"You're fucking useless, Michel." The guy yelled, kicking against my bed, revealing my hand.

I quickly slid it under the bed again, but I already knew he saw it, because the room grew silent.

I heard footsteps until the shoes were in front of my face.

Silence.
