Hayden's Point Of View
She looked so peaceful as she slept in my arms, which reminded me about a puppy I used to have when I was younger. I used to go out with it and throw the ball, because I knew he always came back. He was also trained very well and would just follow me around everywhere I went. It was just my best friend. I loved him so much, until at one point he started to get old and therefore ate less. My mum would always tell me not to worry, that it was just a flu and at some point he'd get better, but I knew he wouldn't. I saw how he got weaker everyday, how he didn't want to catch sticks and balls anymore, just because he couldn't. I was hurting at the sight, knowing that I couldn't do anything about it.
I mean, it was just a dog after all, but I felt such a strong connection between the two of us. I spent all my time with him, after school I even ran home with my friends, so we could play with my dog.
And just like he suffered from hunger, because he ate too less, so would she.
That is, if Zahir didn't make it.
I could see and feel, that she had already lost weight, which upset me really badly. I didn't want to loose another close existence to me due death because of hunger.
I wouldn't admit it, but at this point, she was everything to me, basically everything that I had, that made me live for something. She kinda gave my life a reason. I know it was crazy that I'd been stalking her, but I don't regret it, because in the end of the day, even though I didn't want it first, she'd been lying in my arms.
She told me she loved me, after all the things I had done. After I even told her that I was the one who killed her father, she still stuck around.
That meant she wasn't going to leave right?
Every time she hadn't been around, something inside of me snapped, I would start to panic and I would think that something bad happened to her, which was probably due my feelings for her.
I loved her and I was sure of it.
"Hayden?" A manly voice said behind me as I heard the door close.
I had not even heard the door being opened. Scooting away from her I pulled the sheets over her and stood up.
"You." I whisper-yelled, grabbing his bag and throwing it to the side. He was a bit taken aback by my movements, but if he thought, I was dumb, then the mother fucker was wrong.
With one swift move I had pinned him against the wall as he put his hands up as a defence.
"Why did you do that?" I whispered, because I didn't want to wake Leah.
"Did what?" He asked, frowning.
"Why did you tell Steve where she lived and who she was?" I hissed as not only realization but also my fist hit his face.
"I-I'm sorry man, I-he was beating me up, he was gonna kill me if I didn't tell." He whispered.
"And you just decided, to let her get killed instead because you think that it's fucking okay?!" I was furious.
"Man, no, I'm figuring out something." He said nervously.
"Oh and what would that be, idiot?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Leah's Point Of View
I woke up to see Hayden and Zahir discussing something. I couldn't really figure out what it was, because they were already into the conversation, but I heard Hayden say:
"then you shoot and get Lionel."
Zahir nodded before looking at me, which caused Hayden's face to turn around, giving me an assuring smile. Zahir waved awkwardly as I glared at him, because he was the one who brought me here. Hayden walked over to me and kissed my front as I asked:
"How did he get in?"
"Key." Zahir replied, even though I wasn't talking to him, I was talking to Hayden.
"Well then, let's get out." I said as Hayden shook his head.
"That'll get probably the three of us killed, because Paul is just at the entrance right now and he'll see us."
I sighed as Hayden nodded at Zahir. He took that as a sign to leave with no further comment. I looked up to Hayden as he placed a gentle kiss on my lips.
"Is someone hungry? Zahir's brought food." He smiled as my eyes widened, looking around for the food, to find a plastic bag.
"Food!" I screamed and ran over to it, immediately taking out the different sorts of crisps and sweets.
He smiled satisfied, but with a hint of sadness.
"Which one shall we open?" I asked, glancing with shiny eyes at him as if he had given me a diamond ring.
"You can choose, love." He said as he sat down behind me, pulling me into his chest, as I blushed. He put his head onto my shoulder as he watched me opening the Pringles.
"Good choice, baby girl." He said and kissed my cheek. I started to pick out some crisps, savouring the taste.
"God, I'm so hungry." I mumbled with a full mouth as he laughed: "I can tell."
"Do you want some?" I asked, but he just shook his head.
"Hayden, you need to eat." I argued, placing the bag in front of his face so that he could see and smell the crisps.
"It's your food, love." He told me as I watched him as if he just said that he was secretly married to a gay alien.
"It's not MY food it's OUR food." I said, but he still shook his head.
"Well, how do you wanna protect me, if you're too tired, just because you haven't eaten?" I asked, knowing that I had hit a soft spot.
"Fine." He huffed as he grabbed a handful crisps, pushing them into his mouth as he muffled a:
"Happy?"
I nodded as I poked his nose, opening the next bag, so that we had two different sorts. Zahir had bought enough to last us for a week, if not more.
"Really happy." I said and smiled as he swallowed.
"I get a kiss for that, babe." He said as soon as he was able to speak without crumbles flying into my face. I giggled as I gave him a kiss on his temple. He started to pout which I head to admit was childish, but really cute, it brought out the little boy in him. I laughed as he pinched my sides, I quickly took hold of his hands as he took that as an opportunity to lie me down, pinning my hands to the ground.
"gotcha." He said as he straddled my waist, lowering himself to kiss me, but in the last moment I pushed him off and now sat on top of him, pinning him down as best as I could.
"No, I gotcha." I mimicked him as he laughed with a laugh that I had never heard before, it was kinda happy, despite that we were going to die.
"Kiss me already." He whispered seductively, because he felt as if it would work.
"Not so fast, eat, then I'll kiss you." I ordered.
He started to laugh as he pushed his upper body up, moving his hands down to my shorts, unbuckling them.
"Wha-what are you doing?" I asked as I placed my hands over his, so that he wouldn't move down any further.
"You didn't tell me what to eat." He said as a smirk plastered over his face.
"Huh? Oh.. OH! Oh my gosh, Hayden!" I said and got off him, hiding my face in embarrassment.
He moved closer to me as I leant onto the bed. He took my hands in his larger ones as he looked my face in awe.
"You're so adorable when you blush." He smiled as I let him kiss me gently.
He looked me as he bluntly split the words: "I love you, Leah. No matter what will happen." I watched him as he looked kind of relieved, but scared at the same time as I tangled his fingers with mine.
"I love you too." I smiled as he kissed me again humming as he pulled away: "paprika."
I was about to reply, but something caught me off guard.
"Am I interrupting something?" I heard a low voice behind the two of us. I looked back, to greet an all too familiar pair of brown eyes.
