Amethyst's pov
I sat there watching as Ammolite moved her hand. With every move a new bit of detail appeared onto the paper. She didn't seem to be really here, like she is a printer printing a picture not able to do anything else.
After ten minutes an image of a huge planet made of shinny materials (from how the picture looked) yet at the same time it was barely holding together. It was nothing like I imagined. It looked marvelous. She moved the sheet of paper and started drawing another picture.
I guess you loose control when doing this.
I watched her draw another picture that seemed to damaged streets with what the home world would consider rejected gems, one looks similar to me but they had a weird weird thing going on with her arm. Then I saw her draw what looked like a sign, it was barely able to be read but it said shatter block.
Oh my stars... I would have been shattered if I came out on time...
The next image was a counter that looked to be matched to some sort of operating table. The counter had tools on it one of which looked like a miniature injector. I looked at her face and it was filled with fear. I quickly noticed that she wasn't done adding detail, before I could finish observing I heard Steven yawn and get out of bed.
Fuck, hurry up...
I pulled the pencil from her hand with a quick jerk, and folded the papers.
"Hey ste-man," I said as I quickly turned and hid the now folded papers behind my back, "you should probably take a shower."
"Normally, Garnet or Pearl are the ones to tell me that." Steven said as he slumped off to the bathroom.
I turned around and Ammolite was drawing again. This time it was of a girl. She had a light colored hair that appeared to go past her shoulders. Ammolite was drawing this picture and it brought a sadness to her face she finished the picture and the girl in the picture was really pretty. She quickly tossed the picture aside.
"You shouldn't be having her do that. Steven doesn't need to see those pictures." Garnet said as she sat on the couch next to Ammolite.
We both looked at the most recent picture and it was of Rose. She appears to be worried and was trying to save someone who you could only see part of their arm and their hand reaching out as if they were pleading for help.
"I tried to stop her when Steven woke up, but she started again." I said as I watched her start another picture.
Garnet yanked the pencil from her hand and broke it. Which I guess broke her from the trance she was in.
"I'm sorry," Ammolite said as he stood up and collected the pictures that I didn't have in my hand, "I didn't mean to draw all that."
She calmly walked outside. I forced myself to look at Garnet and she motioned for me to follow Ammolite. I quickly ran after her.
"Thank you," I said when I got to her, "you have helped me a lot."
She was sitting in the sand staring sat the ocean. So I sat down next to her.
"I have pretty much lost everyone I knew," she didn't move, but the picture of the girl was onto of all the papers she had, "all because of her."
"She didn't kidnap you." I was confused by what she said.
"That night I ran away, because my dad couldn't accept the fact I fell in love with her. I felt the need to tell him, I wanted him I be happy for me finding someone that loved me like he loved my mom. But then I lost everyone all at once."
"You still have Greg, right?" I put my hand on her shoulder.
"He was always there for me, but in the end he wasn't there to save me," she closed her eyes.
"He couldn't have done anything." I wasn't going to stop until I had already helped a little bit.
"The last person I saw on Earth was a giant lady with pink hair."
"Rose," I said realizing that Rose was trying to save Ammolite in that picture, "she had a goal to be the protector of everything on Earth, she always tried her best. Without her, Pearl probably would have poofed and bubbled me years ago. And I'm just a reject gem, that was given a different choice than what home world would have decided for me."
"Can I do something and not have you freak out?" She asked nervously.
"Sure, I guess." I said as I shrugged my shoulders.
Ammolite folded the papers and handed them to me. Why would I freak out about... Wait what is she doing? I was surprised because with a split second she was kissing me. I couldn't think of anything. So I let my lips relax and kiss her back. Afterwards she got up and walked away. What... Does that mean she likes me? No, she couldn't like me. Does she? I just sat there and looked at the folded papers in my hand and I decided to get up.
I started to walk back to the temple and I decided I needed time to figure out what just happened. So I was going to go to my room but then I saw the warp pad had just finished activating.
"What did you do to her?" Pearl asked sounding demanding.
"What Ammolite?" I asked and Pearl nodded her head, "I didn't do anything to her, she did something to me."
"What did you over react?" Steven asked as if it were normal.
"No," I lowered my voice, "maybe that's why, I didn't react at all."
"What did she do that you didn't react to?" Pearl didn't seem to believe me.
"Don't answer that, I'll tell you later Pearl. She's in the gem battlefield." Garnet said already standing on the warp pad. She knew what I was going to do and she was coming weather I wanted her to or not.
