Amethyst's pov

I couldn't help but stare at Ammolite, she seemed to be slightly different after seeing her mother again.

"So your name is actually Katherine?" She never told me that.

"That's not my name." She sounded so heartless when she said that, yet it drew me closer to her. "Katherine died years ago, then there was Kat, now she's dead too."

"You never died, you just changed" Greg said without looking at us.

Ammolite came and sat next to me on Greg's bed.

"That may be true, but I haven't gone by Kat or Kathrine in years, it doesn't feel right anymore." She grabbed my hand as she said "I'm not going to force you to call me Ammolite but I would like it if you did."

She seemed a lot calmer than when she first got back on Earth. Maybe it's because she's around people from her past.

"Hey, Ammolite?" I started to feel nervous about asking her. I didn't want to upset her she was happier right now.

"Yes Amethyst," She looked at me with her glimmering blue and green eyes.

"Do you want to see something beautiful when we get back?" I said nervously I decided I would ask her later.

"Well, I'm looking at something beautiful right now." She said as she leaned closer to me.

I couldn't help but blush. "Do you want to see it?"

"If I'm with you I will." She rested her hand on my knee.

God, I'm never this nervous. I started to fiddle with my thumbs before she grabbed my hands and stopped me.

She shifted our hands to where she was holding my hand. I was surprised by how soft her hand was. She started to softly rub her finger between my knuckles.

I knew she was teasing me. She was trying to see what pushed my buttons. I decided I wasn't going to let her know at least I was going to act that way.

She started to move her foot against my leg. Which sent a slight tingle up my leg.

I decided to mess with her like she was doing to me. I turned how my hand was and tickled her palm, which caused her to yank her hand away.

There was a jolt in the van causing us to fly forward a bit. The next thing I realized I was on top of Ammolite. When she realized this too she freaked out and shoved me off of her. I quickly moved to the other side of the van causing it to rock.

"Sorry, umm..." Greg looked like he was scared, and he became speechless.

I made my way up and looked out the front window.

"Hey Ammolite, can you drive?" I looked over at Greg and he looked like he was in shock.

"Yea... Why do y..." She looked outside and saw the giant corrupted gem. "I can't let you fight that alone."

"I'll be fine you need to get Greg out of here. No humans can get hurt and I can hold it off until you guys are gone. If you're worried get Garnet and Pearl." I yelled as I jumped out and readied my whips.

"I can help." She said as she looked at me like she was worried.

"And who would get Greg back to Steven safely?" I hit the button that locks the doors as I closed the door behind me, "I've got this."

Ammolite's pov.

"Don't get shattered. I can't lose anyone else." I gave in to what she told me to do.

I made Greg move to the back of the van and buckled up. Then I waited for my chance to get past the corrupted gem.

Honestly it kinda creeped me out because it looked like a dragon but it had a weird mutated animal head, no tail and no front legs. It had what looked like a Amethyst on it's wing, but it looked like it had been scorched by a fire of filled with a smoke like substance.

Amethyst wrapped her whip around it's neck causing the road to be cleared. So I quickly drove and headed straight to where Steven and the gems live. I quickly parked the van on the side of the road and ran into the house.

"Amethyst..." I was out of breath, I guess I ran faster than I thought, "Amethyst needs help... Corrupted gem... I think it's an Amethyst too. She asked me to send help." I fell to my knees.

Garnet stood up, "come on show us," Pearl followed looking panicked and Garnet picked me up and ran us to the van. "Greg we are borrowing your van, and I'm sorry."

"Sure," he said sounding confused.

"Make sure Steven doesn't leave we will need him when we come back." Garnet sounded very calm while Pearl was freaked out.

Garnet had me drive them to where Amethyst and the corrupted gem were. I honestly was speeding the entire time. Then I quickly slammed on the breaks causing the van to jerk and causing Pearl to crash into the driver seat.

"Ammolite stay here," Garnet demanded, "we can't have you hurt."

They both left me there to watch. Amethyst was practically riding the corrupted gem while having one of her whips wrapped around one of its wings and the other around it's neck. As I was forced to watch them fight the corrupted gem, then I saw Pearl get tossed aside and she crashed into Garnet. Amethyst got thrown off and the corrupted gem charged toward on her.

"Sorry Garnet," I jumped out of the van and pulled out my cutlass.

By the time I got to the corrupted gem and Amethyst, it was attacking her causing her yell. The attack wasn't enough to make her poof, but something felt really wrong. I kept running toward them and the corrupted gem slammed it's body against her. This time she poofed and her gem fell to the ground

That set me off. I jumped and dug my cutlass into the hind leg of the corrupted gem and got it off of Amethyst. I didn't look at her gem and I put her into my pocket to keep her safe. I quickly turned my attention to the corrupted gem. I lunged at it and I guess I blacked out because the next thing I knew I was in the van holding Amethyst. And we were in the van driving down the road.

She wasn't in her gem form but her gem had a huge crack. To where if it cracked any further she would shatter.

I was crying. Amethyst was glitching and having all kinds of different problems.

"Can Steven fix her?" I asked panicked.

"Only if we get her to him in time," Garnet said, "Pearl as much as you care about safety I need you to go faster."

I quickly scooped Amethyst up and jumped out of the van as soon as we were close enough and ran Amethyst inside. I didn't wait for Garnet or Pearl. I bursted through the door and scared Steven and Connie.

"Amethyst!" Steven yelled as he realized what was going on.

"Steven you have to help her." I started to freak out more when I saw her gem start to crack a little more.

"Yea... I can help her..." He was freaked out and confused, then he kicked his lips and bent down toward her chest.

"Hey... Thats a bit weird," I said stopping him.

"It's the only way I can help unless you want me to lick my hand and rub it on her gem..." I didn't respond I just turned away. "There. She should be better soon."

I turned to see Amethyst went back to her gem form and I watched as her gem quickly sealed it's crack.
