Chapter 1

John Laurens POV

Another great day of riding! I get off my horse, Phillip, and carefully take him into the barn. He would sit by the other horses, Theodosia, Samuel, and Charles. The other horses belonged to my adopted sisters, Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy. They treated me kind and like a really was their brother by birth.

My parents had well, abandoned me, and I was put up for adoption. 5 days later. No body came. 5 weeks later. No body came. 5 months later. No body came. 5 years later. Some one came. I was about to give up when I saw my new father walk in. I guess he saw something in me, he picked me out of all the others.

My sister Angelica has already found her soulmate, Thomas Paine. Every day she would let me draw something on her arm. And everyday her soulmate, Thomas Paine, would write something back. She always brings me on walks and tells me how everything looks in color.

Eliza and Peggy haven't found their soulmates either. But they would always have new things appearing on their arms. Or atleast Peggy did, Eliza told me that she hadn't found her soulmate yet, but she always saw the world as if it was in colors.

I thought, hey, maybe I should draw something on my arm. I drew a small picture of a turtle. I didn't know what color I was using. Angelica said that I was using green and that was the color that turtles were. A few days past, I got nothing. I would constantly get worried that I didn't even have a soulmate.

Until, one day, I got a small heart next year to my turtle. I HAD A SOULMATE!! Now, here I am, constantly drawing small things on my arm. If we drew our name, number, address, or anything that admitted who we were, it was magically erased before your soulmate could see it. I know, because Eliza has tried it before.

I got into my house and picked up my book that Peggy had bought me for my birthday last week. I had only just started it and it was already so good!! Of coarse it was good! It was written by Alexander Hamilton! He's the best writer there ever was! I wonder if he has a soulmate? Ha! He definitely does! All the ladies probably love him!

All four of us were very big fans of him! His stories always had so much emotion in them! I wonder if he takes a break from all of this!

Alexander Hamilton POV

Ugh!! UGH!!! I NEED A BREAK!!!

All the random people I worked with were always pressuring me to write more! I can't just write something random, I have to have emotion in it! The readers aren't gonna be satisfied! I'm always wringing like I'm running out of time! Or atleast tats what my friends Herc and Laf say. I'm so lucky that I have them, they let me actually live! A
Tonight, I'm just gonna hang at their apartment.

*later at the apartment*

Herc - Got anything planned this week Alex?
Alex - I gotta book signing thing on Monday.
Laf - Alex, its Saturday night! You should have atleast a week long break!
Alex - It's not my fault that I.....
Herc - SHUT UP ALEX ITS HAPPENING!!!!
Alex - What's happening?!
Laf - Your arm! Your soulmate is writing something mon ami!

Sure enough, a little turtle has appeared on my arm. Awww, my soulmate is so cute!!

Herc - Awww, it's another turtle!
Laf - Let me guess, you're gonna draw another heart on it!
Alex - What do you mean?
Laf - Mon ami, you always just draw a heart! Your soulmate puts so much effort into their drawings and you always just make them wait a week before just drawing something that takes you 5 seconds!
Herc - Cmon Alex! Draw them something!
Alex - Like what?
Laf - How about, what's your favorite animal?
Alex - I don't know, probably a puppy.
Herc - Draw em a puppy Alex!

I drew a small puppy on my arm. It took me a while, I had to keep asking Herc and Laf what color marker I was using. Finally, it was finished! It looked pretty cute of I do say so myself!

Laf - THEYRE DRAWING SOMETHING!!!

It was a small heart next to my puppy.

Herc - HAHA!! A heart! Taste of your own medicine Alex! Who ever this guy is, he's hilarious!
Alex - You don't know it's a guy!
Laf - Please, you're as gay as, well, a gay person. It's totally a guy!
Alex - Nice comeback!
Laf - Thankies!

A few hours of talking later, I headed back to my apartment, it was dark outside, and snowing a lot so the ground had gotten really icey. All I could think about was my soulmate. Was he really a guy? What did he look like? What's his name? Why does he like turtles so much?

Soon enough, I got zapped back into reality when I pounded against something. I slipped and fell onto the ice. I looked up and saw a guy sat against the ice. Atleast, I thought it was a guy. He had a blindfold over his eyes and a big hood over his face. So I couldn't make out anything.

? - AH!! Im so sorry. I...I gotta go!

With that, he raced off behind him and around the corner till I couldn't see him anymore. Wow. That was a surprise. Now my back hurts. I'm just gonna go back home and eat. I'm starving.

John Laurens POV

I burst through the door and took my blindfold off. I ran down to the basement where my sisters were sitting. The four of them decided to play truth or dare, and I made the idiotic mistake of choosing a dare.

Peggy - Joohhhnnn, it hasn't even been five minutes yet!
John - It's to dark and cold out there. Plus, I ran into some guy and now my butt hurts.
Eliza - Aww, sorry to hear that John. Here, come upstairs, I have a late birthday surprise for you.
