Chapter 10

John POV

John - Where do you guys think I should purpose?
Angelica - Well, there's this cherry blossom park a little ways from here. You can go there with Alex.
Eliza - And have a picnic!
Peggy - And when the sun slowly goes down, you bend down on one knee! AND BOOM MEGA SUPER HAPPY ENDING!!!!
John - That sounds amazing!!

I walked back to my house and hoped Alex wasn't here. I walked in and found Alex a little bit dressed up with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. I was stunned. I didn't know anyone on earth could be this beautiful. I happily excepted the flowers and looked into Alex's eyes.

Alex - My dearest, Laurens. If it might be in my power, by action rather than words, to escort you on a date.
John - Well someone's fancy!
John - I'd love to go out with you Alex! Just let me get dressed!

I walked into our room and pulled out the suit I was going to wear to purpose and headed back over to Alex.

Alex - You look amazing John.
John - I could say the same thing about you Lexi.

Alex giggled and we walked into his car. He didn't tell me where we were going, but I trusted Alex. I turned on the radio and we found out that songs from our favorite musical was on! Miranda! We sang the lines together and laughed at our funny faces we made.

When we finally stopped, I looked out the window to see the cherry blossom park. Well, I guess that works out well for me.

Alex grabbed my hand and led me up to the hill. Cherry blossoms swayed around in the wind, making Alexander look amazing. I'm sure if I could, I would have stars in my eyes. We had a small picnic up there and laughed at funny stories we told each other. The sun started to go down over the horizon. I could see the full moon start to shine on top of us. I decided this was the perfect time.

John - Alexander Hamilton.

Startled that I used his first name, Alex turned around to face me. I got on one knee and got the small box out of my pocket. Alex put his hands over his mouth and let out a small tear out of his eye. I wiped the tear away and held his hand.

John - You are my soulmate. And even if you weren't, that wouldn't stop me from loving you with every amount of my soul and heart. When I lost my memory, you never gave up on me. When my dad abused me, you never gave up. You let me meet Laf and Herc. You showed me amazing things I didn't know were possible. I won't give up on something I want Lexi, and I want you. So, will you do me the honor, and become Alexander Laurens?

I looked up at Alex to see him sobbing.

Alex - No, no, no

My heart broke in two. I thought he loved me. I did so much. And here I was, the man I just purposed to said no.

Alex - I WANTED TO DO IT!!!

He looked up at me with an amazing smile.

John - Wha....What?!

Alex pulled me off the floor and instead, let himself get on one knee. He pulled a box out of his pocket and did the same as me.

Alex - Looks like we're both doing this. John, we've had our bad moments, we've had our good moments, but through it all, we were always together. And I always want to be together. So will you do me the amazing honor, of becoming John Hamilton?

I screamed yes and jumped on top of him and cried into his jacket. He fluffed my hair and and put the ring on my finger. 

John - Soooooo
Alex - Put that freaking ring on me John!

I laughed and did as he told me. Alex pulled me down into a soft and promised kiss. I never wanted this moment to end. We were together, and we loved each other. And no one could tell us what to do, or where to go. It was just Alex and I.

John - So who's last name are we using?
Alex - How about both!
John - How would we do that?
Alex - Well, we just combine our names! How about......LAMS!!!
John - Lams, seriously?
Alex - You love it.
John - Yeah, but I love you more.
