Chapter 5

Blood in this chapter......yeah.

Alex POV

It was taking Hercules and Lafayette a long time. We've hated McDonalds after the "incident" so if we really needed to go, we would just stop at the driveway. It should've taken them like 25 minutes, but they've been gone for like an hour!! I really wanted to ask John out again, but I'm sure he'll understand.

Alex - Hey John.
John - Yeah Alexander.
Alex - Herc and Laf are still at McDonalds, and I'm getting kinda worried, I'm gonna go check on them.
John - Okay! I'll stay here and text you if they come back.
Alex - Okie! Bye bye Turtle boy!
John - Bye Lexi!

I laughed at his nickname for me and ran downstairs. I picked up my phone and keys and jumped into my car. I decided to rethink the "incident" that had happened.

I was walking through McDonalds with my old girlfriend, Eliza. She was just a relationship. Nothing big. I was her soulmate, but she wasn't mine. She could see color, but I couldn't.  I was sitting at a table with her. She was talking about something funny that her sisters Angelica and Poopy said. Atleast, I think that's what their names where.

Suddenly, a beautiful man came through the door. He had long curly hair and freckles. I immediately fell for him. Literally. I fell off the table. I hadn't talked to that boy, but Eliza noticed my staring.

Eliza - You like that boy, don't you?
Alex - Eliza....
Eliza - I understand Alex. There's actually someone compatible to you out there. I was just a mistake that the universe made.
Alex - Eliza you're not a mistake. I love you, but, like a sister.
Eliza - Even though you're MY soulmate, you're not mine. I think we should end this. Plus, I already kinda knew anyway.
Alex - Knew what.
Eliza - That you were gay.
Alex - IM NOT GAY!!
Eliza - Well you sure as hell aren't straight Alex.

Eliza got up and headed out the door. Before she left, she looked right at me and whispered something in my ear.

Eliza - That boy's my brother by the way.

I spit out my drink as Eliza left laughing. She was the nicest girl I've ever met in my life. But I had to let her go. I hope she's happy. I started rethinking what that boy looked like, I had just gotten into the McDonalds parking lot when I realized something. I slammed my foot on the brake, and looked up, sweating.

That boy had been John.

John is Eliza's brother.

Holy slushie.

Jason Dean - THATS MY FUCKIN LINE ALEXANDER!!

I decided not to think of it that much. But I HAD to tell Herc and Laf. I parked and got out of my car and entered the local McDonalds. There was a girl stood at the counter looking bored as hell. She had a yellow uniform on and light brown skin. Her name tag read "Peggy"

Peggy - HOLY CRAP YOUR ALEXANDER HAMILTON!!! YOU'RE MY BROTHERS SOULMATE!!!
Alex - SO YOUR POOPY?!!
Peggy - Excuse me??!!
Alex - Sorry! Eliza had told me your name but I guess I miss heard it and thought that it was Poopy, so sorry Peggy!
Peggy - No prob bob! Whatcha wanna get?!
Alex - I'm here to get a light brown male with a large pony tale and a large black man with a beanie.
Peggy - You mean the guys who just had sex in the boys bathroom?
Alex - WHAT??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peggy - Yeah, they just got out. Over in the table over there.

I turned around and saw Lafayette asleep on Hercules shoulder.

Alex - *COUGH COUGH*
Laf - Huh I....oh.....hiiiiii Aaaaaalllllllleeeeeeeexxxxxxx
Herc - What are you doing here?! Haha!!
Alex - We are gonna have a major conversation about this in the car.
Herc - MAN!!!!
Laf - The man is nonstop!!

I got in the car with the two idiots when I got a text from John.

Alex - That's funny.
Herc - What?
Alex - I told John to text me if you guys came back, but he texted me anyway.
Laf - I wanna see what turtle boi said Alex!

Turtle Boi - ALEX HELP HES HUR

Laf - Oh my god.
Alex - JOHN!!!! I KNEW IT!!!! IM AN IDIOT!!!! I SHOULDVE BROUGHT HIM WITH ME!!!! WHY DID IT HAVE TO HAPPEN TO JOHN!!!
Herc - Clam down Alex!! We're gonna get John back? Any idea where he could be? Or who could've taken him?
Alex - ......I do........

Henry Laurens.

Hercules took the wheel and pushed Alex to the backseat where Laf whispered some comforting words to him. It didn't help that it was pouring hard outside, they all know how Alex deals with rain.

Alex just thought about being in Johns arms, about how much trouble John could be in and it would be all his fault!! Most of the people he loves has died and he wasn't gonna make John one of them. John belonged on earth, not in heaven. Actually, he belongs in both places.

Hercules and Lafayette jumps out of the car when they screeched to a stop in front of the Laurens-Schuyler House. They looked behind them to see Alex crying in a small ball in the backseat.

Laf - Mon ami, we can just go if you want?
Alex - No, I'm gonna find John. I'm not gonna let the memories stop me.

Alex felt terrified as soon as the rain touched him. His boots stomped on the hard ground. The sky was dark and was getting darker. Alex's hair was already in a wet messy ponytail, but he could get new clothes, he couldn't get a new John.

Alex steeped in the house to see a unconscious John laying on the ground. He was in a giant lol of blood. He had messy hair, bruised face and entire body. He looked like a zombie. Alex put his hands up to and started crying. He stroked Johns hair. Hercules and Lafayette had ran around the house to make sure no one was in the building. They came back, seeing no people.

Alex breathed intensely and held Johns hand. His grip browning harder on the young boys hand.

Herc - Get him in the car Alex. We're taking him to the hospital. He's gonna stay with us forever so that Henry Laurens could never hurt him.

Alex picked up John bridal style. His heart hurt more than ever. It reminded him of watching the ambulance pull his cousin right out of his grasp. Alex had been sitting on top of the stairs. He was crying into his palms as he watched men come into his house and take his dead cousin away.

They carried John into the backseat next to Alex. Lafayette looked back at the two as Hercules started the car.

Lafayette - You know, someone's gonna need to stay the night at the hospital.
Alex - Thanks Laf, I really need to stay with him.

Alex stroked Johns hair and whispered so soft that no one else could hear.

"Stay alive John.....that would be enough."
