One agonising week has drifted pass and yet not one glimpse of Gerard's hazel eyes have caught my attention, no signs of him waking up have filled my vision. The chair beside Gerard's hospital bed is where I have been every minute of the day besides the bathroom but other than that I haven't left him at all not even to change my clothes. Mikey had dropped in every day for hours on end with Pete before leaving again with a sour and sadden voice not that I could blame him, I haven't smiled since he was taken.
The nurses had given my a blanket and food with coffee since I wouldn't budge of the idea of staying by his side. Still holding his hand, slight colour had returned to his cheeks and lips, instead of being ghostly white with pale blue lips he now had tinted pink cheeks as did his lips as his body was becoming more lively with each passing day but yet he still hasn't awoken.
Image's of the bloody walls from Bert's now multi-pieced head had attacked my dreams when I tried to sleep. Sleep had come in small amounts since no matter how hard I tried to remain still, I became fidgety when I shut my eyes, worrying about Bert's gang would still suspect me for Bert's disappearance.
When I would awake I'd find myself squeezing Gerard's hand to tightly to the point where my knuckles were white, I'd slowly release his hand worried that it had hurt him despite him being in a coma. I just really wish the nightmares will pass over soon or they might drive me insane.
Today is tuesday which meant I was meant to be at work right now since its currently 11:32am but I had called Dallon up and told him everything that has happen, he was very gentle and kind about the whole situation and offered me a month off work with pay to help get by plus he said if I needed more time he'd be more than happy to get someone to fill in but wouldn't be able to give me any more pay after a month which I couldn't do more than agree happily with.
I watched lazily as the rain that happen to fall today patted softly against the tinted hospital window as dark angry storm clouds covered the cities sky as wind swirled around the trees making them shake violently. It was slightly peaceful watching the cold rain as brown orange leaves swirled in the wind. The room where we sat was dark since they turned the lights off leaving the room dark since no sunlight peered through the clouds.
I was lost in a train of thought thinking about the storm when I felt something twitch within my hand making me jump slightly. I shot my head and gaze around to Gerard before another twitch send a jolt through my hand. Adverting my gaze down to my hands a smile instantly attacked my lips as I felt tears brim my eyes when Gerard's fingers started moving within mine, meaning he was waking up for the first time in a week. I hope.
I stood up from the chair still holding hands as I leaned over him slightly inspecting his face seeing his eyes underneath the lids move slightly. My heart swelled within my chest as happiness bubble up.
"Gee" I whispered seeing his eyes move more before his lip twitch slightly as his features frowned slightly as immediate pain shot through his body. He made a hum before a quiet inhuman noise within his throat then silence followed.
"Wake up baby" I whispered before letting go of his hand to hold his cheeks in my palms feeling his skin a bit warmer than it was when he was first rushed into emergency. I bit my lip when the moment I've been waiting for, for a week graced me and the world.
Gerard's eye lids opened slightly to the point where could probably only just peer through his eyelashes still hiding his hazel iris's before he squeeze them shut. I brushed my thumb underneath his eyes along his cheek bone when he forced his eyes opening letting his hazel crystals visible to me. I instantly smiled seeing his beautiful eyes stare at me but he frowned before his face went into a frighten stare as he continued to stare up to me with lidded eyes.
