Validation
You were that validation I needed.
That reassurance that I'm not alone.
That life is worth living.
That somebody on this earth cares.
You made me think I was an ok person.
I needed some type of reassurance,
And you temporarily validated my existence.
Until you left.
After you left, I could only count on myself.
Learning to rely on myself was a completely new feeling.
Telling myself some guy can't give me the reasons for succeeding.
Thank you for all the experiences you've given me.
You taught me that before relying on others, I must build a love and dependency on myself.
