It's Saturday and me and Eve are supposed to hang out today. I told her what happened yesterday so she suggested we have a girls day. I'm actually really excited so I get up and get dressed. I put my hair in a high ponytail and put on some makeup.

"Where are you going sweetie?" My mom asks as I walk towards the door.

"Hanging out with Eve."

"You should ask Elizabeth to tag along." My mom suggests.

"Um, no thanks."

"Jessie, you and Elizabeth need to get along. You two are step sisters. At least try." She says frowning.

I look down and sigh deeply. "Fine." I mutter.

My mom smiles widely as I walk upstairs and knock on Elizabeth's door.

"What?" She yells.

"It's Jessie." I say.

"What do you want?"

I roll my eyes. "Can I come in?"

There's silence so I'm about to walk away but hear the door open.

I turn around to see Elizabeth with her arms crossed.

"Um, I was just wondering if you would like to hang out with me and Eve today?"

She looks at me weirdly and chuckles. "Is this a joke?"

"No. I figured we should at least try to get along." I respond.

She looks at me questionably.

"I guess. I have nothing else to do." She says shutting her door to get ready.

I sigh and smile slightly to myself. Well, we're making some progress. I take out my phone and text Eve.

Me: Elizabeth is hanging out with us today. Hope you don't mind.

Eve💗: you hope I don't mind?! Of course I mind. Shes a bitch.

Me: my mom wants me and her to get along so I'm trying. And that goes for you too. Please try.

Eve💗: fine.😒 I'll be there in 5 minutes.

I put my phone in my pocket and walk downstairs to waiting for Elizabeth to get done and Eve to get here.

I hear Elizabeth come downstairs dressed to go. Eve texted me that she's here so me and Elizabeth walk to Eves car and get in.
