Chapter 1: Never-ending Nightmare

Sojung wondered her way to school mind lost as she remembered that morning. She had that dream so many times yet it always scared her, she would ask her sister about it in the most subtle way possible yet could never get a straight response from her. There was obviously something more to that dream, maybe it was connected to her past. Exy has amnesia and can't remember anything that came before her 10th birthday. She lived with her grandmother for a year who then later passed away from a heart attack while her and sister were out. Ever since she and her sister had been living alone, it was hard at first but it got better once her sister got a job. Sojung noticed that recently her sister was more stressed out but she'd rather not ask cause she wouldn't be able to get a proper answer. Why was her sister so secretive?

"Sojung-ahhhhhh!!!!" a high pitched screech reached her ear, Exy immediately recognised it as her best friend Kim Suran. She almost fell when Suran crashed into her hugging her like it was to first time she had seen her in forever. They had been friends since 4th grade, or at lest what Suran tells her, she couldn't remember. It took a while but Exy finally began to trust her it was like their friendship had resumed. "Why you so late Ms. Punctuality. I had the worst night ever and I need someone to vent to asap." Suran said with her many hand signals that made Exy roll her eyes. Suran always loved to tell Exy about herself and the latter would always listen. People say Suran is self centered but Exy doesn't mind, this is what it supposed to be like right.

"I'm all ears" Sojung says softly. She wasn't talkative unlike her friend. Her sister says it's post traumatic behaviour, considering almost everyone she know says that she was extremely talkative and sometimes mean, but that was gone. She was the shy, reserved coward that was constantly picked on.

Suran talked all the way to the hall while Exy just gave short relpies. They split paths once they reached where Suran had class, Sojung kept walking towards her class.

While walking a girl ran up to her and said,"Are you Chu Sojung." Exy nodded, and the girl sighed, "OK good the Headmaster wants to see you." She said before walking away. Sojung frowned, what did she do?

Sojung entered the principal's office shocked to see her sister and a unknown lady sitting in down. The unknown lady stood while her sister stayed down and rolled her eyes. The lady extended her hand and Sojung shaked it slightly confused. Her headmaster, who normally had on a frown was smiling(?). He stood and bowed to lady and she bowed back. "I'm sorry for disturbing you Miss. Choi and Ms. Chu. I'm glad we were able to settle this dispute. Sojung you may return to your class. " he said.

Sojung just stood there unable to understand what just happened. No said anything she jut entered and then the meeting was over. Her sister stood up and grabbed her arm roughly pulling her out of the office.

After a while of tugging the sister were a little away from the office. Sojung looked at her who sighed deeply. "If you see that woman anywhere don't talk to don't interact with or anything. Just walk away. Understood?" Her sister said. Exy nodded still confused about the whole situation.

"Who is she?" Sojung asked

"No one important."

" Then why can't I talked to her?"

"Don't test me Exy." Her sister replied. Exy groaned. Why was her sister so secretive. Sojung just gave up and began to walk away. Her sister also walk away.

At the end of all her classes, Exy proceed to walk home. Suran had a class of so she couldn't join Exy. As she walked out of the the school campus she saw her sister and the strange lady... again. Exy walked up to the cautiously, her sister waved over at her. When she reached close to the two the lady smiled and said, "Sojung, I'll take you home today."

Exy looked at her sister who just nodded. Exy walked towards her sister. The trio began walking, Exy walking behind Sooyoung and the lady taking the lead. She obviously looked annoyed but Sojung didn't really to care. They finally arrived at a car, a limo to be exact. The lady opened the door and Sooyoung and enter, Sooyoung in the center.

"Look Sojung I have a confession to make." Her sister started. Exy raised her head before letting out a soft what. "This... lady... is my older sister, Seohyun." She continued barely any of her words coming out clearly. Sojung kept a straight face glancing between both ladies.

"I know this is a strange but I feel you should know this. I-" Seohyun tried to explain but Exy cut her off, standing up in a swift movement.

"You what?" She said sharply. She was not going to listen to this. It wasn't true. "What bullshit excuse do you have." She shout out in frustration.

"OK Sojung you need to calm down." Soohyun said trying to relax to restless child. "It was her idea. She said she will give me enough money to take care of you. Now just sit down and let me explain ok." Exy complied and sat down. "When mom died Seohyun, being older than 18 immediately received custody of you and me but she was away study so we stayed with grandma until she finish. She married some rich old guy and was able to get you and me a home shortly after grandma passed. Anyways she been pressuring me to meet you. I wasn't going to let her but then there was the thing with the school and-"

"Stop!"

Sojung tried to understand but it only made her head hurt more along with the voices. She narrowed her eyes at the girl glancing between the two who had on sad expressions. They did look extremely similar. But that wasn't enough to convince her, it has to be a lie. Her sister never really explained their situation with her mother to her so she should have thought that their was more to it than she knew. Exy tried to process it but it only made her more sad, she felt betrayed, she can't believe her own sisters would do this to her.

Exy need some air. She seriously felt like she was suffocating. She slowly felt for the door handle. Her sisters(?) kept looking at her wanting for a response but instead got a door slammed in their faces. The two girls looked at each other, Sooyoung hit Seohyun her shoulder, "I told you this was a bad idea."

"Well when did you plan on telling her?"

"I don't know somewhere where she can't run away" Sooyoung said looking down.

"God, I hope she doesn't do anything stupid."
