Chapter 4: New Me

Sojung played with the necklace that hung around neck. It was glowing a bright scarlet red as usual, this only happened when she touched it. For the past hour that's all she's been doing, she was a really good idler. She wondered over and over again what does this have to do with her. The was almost 700 million people on earth with the same zodiac sign as her but for some unknown reason it choose her. Or was she born for it? What makes her so special, so unique, so different? What does this mean?

Sojung sighed loudly before standing still. She had spent her day at school and now in the evening she was back by the bar. She didn't feel like going home today, she wasn't ready to face her sister. She'd rather be in a drunken stupor again, which is exactly how she was once again. Maybe she had a drinking problem... well that's sober her's issue. Drunk her had one thing on her mind, puking.

Sojung stumbled her way over to the bathroom. She stopped in front of the door try to regain her balance. She could barely carry her own weight, she felt so dizzy and nauseous. Somehow, she managed to push her limp body off of the door and walk directly into the bathroom.

"False alarm" Now Exy was scared shitless. When did someone enter? She turned around and found a girl with long blonde hair crouching over the sink. Exy examined to girl from bottom going upwards. When she reached her face the girl turned her head making Exy have a mini heart attack. "What are you doing here?" She said glaring at the trembling girl. Exy tried to speak up but ended up stammering like a fool. The obviously taller girl walked before the smaller with an intermediating gaze cause Sojung the quake in fear. "What do you want?" The girl said Exy just cried out fear muttering countless apologies. She cried easily when she was drunk.

The face softened at the sight of the small girl breaking down. "I-I just w-want to u-u-use the bathroom. I d-d-didn't mean to disturb you." Exy said sliding down the wall crying uncontrollably. 'DAMN baby you have hormones go everywhere' a voice said, it reminded her of the girl before her. The girl tried to apologize for scaring her but Exy couldn't hear over her cries. She was suddenly engulfed in a hug, a warm gentle hug making her calm down immediately. Suddenly her mind was taken back to the time Suran and her were had a water fight at the beach. The thought of it made her smile, she wondered why was she suddenly thinking of that.

"Are you alright. I really wasn't expecting you to cry." The girl said after breaking the hug. Exy looked up at the girl and suddenly had a strong sense of deja vu, something about the girl was extremely familiar. "What's your name?" Hearing the girls voice snapped Sojung out of her thoughts. She then realized she had staring at the girl.

"Sojung. My name is Sojung, Chu Sojung. " She said her pupils shaking slightly. The other girl's worried face curved into a bright smile. Something about her made Exy feel so comfortable. Exy just wanted to curl up into a ball a sleep for days in her grasp.

"My name is Meiqi," she said, before helping the girl up. "I really didn't mean to make you cry. I don't really know what exactly I was trying to do but regardless, I'm sorry." She said again before attempting to leave the bathroom. As she unlocked the door Exy threw herself at girl, craving her motherly warmth.

It has been years since Exy felt this way. She felt safe and secure, like no force on earth could hurt her. This brought back memories she never knew she had, she saw faded imagery of a woman and two girls.

"Sojung go ahead and play with the other children. Stop disturbing your sister, she is studying." A woman said gesturing towards the crowd of 5 year olds. The girl was at the park with her two older sisters and her mother. Sojung nodded, skipping her way over toward the other kids. Sojung introduced herself only to be ignored by the other children.
