"Naeun is not very good at expressing her feelings. But she has something special. . , you know?" Jongin nodded.
"Talking about this. . . . I see that Chanyeol and Naeun are not so different." Jongin sighed. "At the end of his last relationship. . . . He suffered a lot."
"What happened?" She asked him with curiosity.
"He loved that girl and they were together for about a year and a half. She broke up with him without a reason. After that he began drinking a lot and going out with other girls just to forget about his ex. He would bring girls to the apartment every single night. I tried to help him but he. . , would yell at me. We always were arguing, I wanted to help him but he didn't want help." He cleared his throat. "I got to a point that I just wanted to punch him." He chuckled. "But after a while of him going to clubs and getting girls, I had a very serious talk with him. And in that moment he exploded." He made like an explosion with his hands.
Eunji was listening very carefully. She didn't know about that past of Chanyeol, and it surprised her a lot because he didn't seem like that type of guy now.
"He let out all the feelings he had inside. All the anger and sadness. That was the first and last time I saw him that way. After that moment he promised to change. He changed. He stopped drinking that much and going out with girls."
"He didn't go on dates after that?"
"He went on one." He pulled one finger out. "But it didn't work so he just decided to focus on his studies. It's been a year since he changed. Even though still nowadays he would flirt with some girl but nothing more."
Eunji let out a sigh. Chanyeol must had suffered a lot. Being in love and that your partner breaks up with you without a clear reason must be heartbreaking. . . .
"Sometimes I joke with Naeun and Chanyeol about them as a couple. . . . But it's just to see their reactions," Jongin said, chuckling.
"She doesn't like him," Eunji said.
"Chanyeol doesn't like her either. . . . Actually, at first he thought she was boring but today he told me he stopped thinking of her like that since a while back." Eunji opened her eyes big.
"What does that mean?"
"He finds her a little funny and cute like Baekhyun and I see her. But doesn't like her. I wish he did actually. . . ." He smiled.
"Why?"
"I want to see him happy again with a girl. I think she matches him, even though they'd argue a lot."
"About Naeun. . . . I don't know. It doesn't seem like she'd see him as a man. She usually gets attracted by funny but sometimes serious guys. . . . Hold on," she stopped, thinking about what she just said.
"He's just like that!" They said at the same time and laughed.
"But I don't see she likes him. When she likes someone she gets shy around them," she commented.
"And when Chanyeol likes someone is hard to tell. . , until you can read his eyes." Eunji bursted laughing. "I'm serious. Those big eyes of his can tell you whether he likes or dislikes someone."
"I need to learn how to read his eyes," she said laughing.
"Don't," he replied with a frown. "Why don't you try to learn how to read mine?" Eunji got surprised at his suggestion and blushed.
They stayed in silence for like two minutes, just thinking about their last conversation. . . . Until all of a sudden they jumped on their chairs, with an idea, and looked at each others with big smiles.
