Eunji was working hard in the kitchen, trying to make the best meal Jongin had ever eaten on a date. She was already dressed with a pretty short dress. She was so nervous for the date that her head was filled with every negative and positive thought. It was a mess.
Naeun stood behind Eunji and looked at what she was cooking. It smelled and looked delicious.
"Hm, can I have a bite?" She asked making her nervous friend jump on fear.
"Don't do that!" She yelled at her.
"Uy. You're tense tonight." Naeun chuckled and grabbed a bruschetta from a plate in the countertop.
"Don't eat the food!" Eunji yelled at her again as she took the food from her hand.
"Chill, dude," Naeun told her as she went to the fridge and grabbed a juice.
"Jongin is almost arriving so you might be leaving now," Eunji said as she checked what was one the stove.
Naeun chocked on her drink.
"Wh-what? I have to leave? The house? No way. I have an exam to study for and am not leaving my room," she told her pretty serious.
"Naeun, honey. . . ." Eunji looked at her with a tired smile. "I've worked really hard on this date. If you don't leave us alone I swear I will take all your books and gift them."
Naeun opened her eyes big: Eunji was serious. And her books?! She couldn't let her gift her babies so she just nodded.
"Okay." She grabbed another bruschetta from the countertop and ran to her bedroom before Eunji yelled at her again.
She finished putting the table and stared at it, and smiled satisfied. The doorbell rang and she jumped, startled.
"Jongin," she whispered, more than nervous now.
She combed her hair with her hands and walked towards the door. She took a deep breath before opening. Jongin was there, wearing a nice outfit and a bouquet of flowers in his hands. They smiled big when they saw each other.
They greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek and he walked in the house.
"You look stunning," he told her as he looked at her up and down.
"Thank you. You look great, too." She replied as her cheeks turned red.
"I brough you flowers." He handed her the bouquet.
"Thanks. They're my favourite type," she said fluttered and smelling them.
"Oh, really?" He asked surprised and happy. She nodded. "I didn't know." Actually, he did know. He had asked Naeun about it. "What's that smell?"
"Food?" She said shy. He grinned and went to the kitchen. She followed him.
He saw everything she was cooking and the table all set. He noticed all her effort on it and that made him feel touched.
Eunji put the flowers on water and put them in the midde of the coffee table in the living room.
Naeun came out of her bedroom with her book on her arms and stood in the entrance of the kitchen, looking at them until they noticed her.
"Hi," Jongin told her with a smile.
"Wow, you look handsome," she complimented him.
"Alright, you can leave now," Eunji told her with a glare.
"Can you believe she's kicking me out of my own house?!" Naeun told Jongin, at which he chuckled.
"You can stay. . . . But it'd be nice if you left," he said. She opened her eyes and mouth big, surprised.
