Chapter 1.9

Almost a day passed. We managed to get 2/3 of the population over when there was a loud scream. I looked at Mikasa. "Armin!" I said. Mikasa looked at me. "Sorry." I ran and shot myself towards the sounds. From far away I could see a blonde boy sitting on the roof. A titan stood infront of him. I ran over and noticed something inside his mouth. Eren. His leg was cut off. "Eren!" I yelled and ran over. Just before I managed to help him, the titan closed it's mouth and swallowed. I stared at it. The titan just walked away. I tried to move. I wanted to attack, but I stood still. Armin sat still, crying. I looked at the titan. Armin looked down. I joined him, sitting still. Tears rolled down our cheeks.

"Linda! Armin!" Mikasa ran over. I stared at her. She looked at us. Armin stood up. "I'll go join the front forces." He said. I grabbed his hand. "No, this is not your fault." I looked at him. "Eren died protecting his friend." I looked at Mikasa. "I'll go alone." She looked at me. "No, we're coming with." She said. "There's god knows how many titans out there, i'm the only one they can't see." I said and pushed Armin towards her before jumping away. "Linda!" I heard people yell after me. I kept moving forward untill something grabbed my line. I was slammed against the wall. For a few seconds I thought a titan would eat me. I looked up. Why isn't it working? Panic filled my body. I tried to figure out why I was about to be eaten. Suddenly the titan got pushed away, by another titan? I looked up. They faught against each other. I took the advantage and ran away from the spot. People looked at me. I shot up towards the walls and ran upwards. On the top were some guards. I looked at them. "Why are you here?" They asked. I looked at them. "I..." It was all new faces. Without thinking I just jumped. I ran and jumped towards the outside. The titans didn't even notice me. I hooked myself to a tree and swung down before running towards my village. There wasn't more titans on the way.

After about a day's worth ofrunning I hid in an abandoned house. There I took off my clothes and changedinto something else. It was some sort of shorts, a shirt and women's shoes. Iwalked slowly out and stared at Mikasa. "Are you out of your mind?" I asked.She looked at me. "Yes." She said and hugged me. I hugged her back and sobbed."We're here to help." She said. "And we brought help." She said. Loud stompingwas heard. I looked up. It was the same titan that had helped me earlier.Mikasa took my hand and dragged me out towards it. Or him. I looked up. "It'sEren." She said. I looked at her. He sat down on his knees. "I.. See.. You." Hesaid. I stared at him and walked over. He put his hand on the ground. His shortestfinger was as long as me. I climbed in his hand. Mikasa joined me and stood up.Eren put us on his shoulder. Armin stood on the other side. I sat down on theshoulder and stared at the horizon.
