A few days passed. I refused to leave my room. People stopped bothering me after the first day. All I did was cry. As I finally stopped crying I just lied in the bed, staring at the roof. Four days later I was tired of feeling sorry for myself. I walked out of the room, it was light outside, so people were probably training. Silence filled the halls. I washed myself, got dressed and walked to the garden behind the castle. Flowers swayed in the wind. I looked around and took a deep breath. The wind blew my hair back. I twirled a few locks around my finger and got shocked when I saw the color. It was a lighter shade of brown. "Hey, are you okay?" I looked up. Armin looked at me and smiled. I nodded slowly. "Yeah, i'm alright." I said. He sat down next to me and looked at me. "It's unfair." I said. He looked at me. "They didn't deserve to die." I said. He hugged me. I hugged him back and leaned my head against his shoulder. "Dad always hated humanity." I said. Armin looked at me. I stared at the sky.
"It's a letter from the king." My mom looked at my dad. "Open it." My sister sat by the table. My dad opened it slowly. I stared at the patterns. "Dear Yokiru Village, There is no more room inside our walls to take care of you and your people. I apologize for this, and hope your protection keeps you safe." My dad stared at it in defeat. I looked at him. "They keep denying us access!" He said and threw the letter on the floor. I sat still. "I hate them. I hate them so bad." He said. "The protection is weakened, and who knows how long till we will all get eaten!" My dad walked out the door and slammed it. I sat behind, staring at the letter. "He doesn't really hate them, does he?" I asked and stared at my mom. "No sweetie, he is just angry." She said and picked up the letter.
A few days passed. One morning I was walking in the yard and staring at the sun. It was a little warm that day. "Hey." Jean looked at me and jogged quickly over. I stared at him for a while. He was a little handsome. "So a few of the trainee's are going to have a party tonight, wanna join?" He asked. I nodded. "Sure, why not?" I said. He smiled and bumped my shoulder before walking to his friends. I blushed lightly before turning around. Levi looked at me with his dead serious look. "You're not partying tonight." He said. I stared at him. "Right. We had that thing late at night. Training." I said. He nodded and walked away. I shook my head gently and continued walking around before grabbing some dinner. People sat and talked, I still hadn't sat down with anyone, but for the first time Levi invited me over to the general table. Erwin stared at me.
After dinner I walked to find Levi. He was sitting against the wall, holding a bottle. "We're not really training, are we?" I asked and sat next to him. "I needed a drinking buddy." He said cold. I took the bottle and took a swig. He looked at me. I leaned back and drank. It burned in my throat, but it made me forget how much my life sucked. I gave him the bottle, and he drank. "Why did you decide to come here?" He asked. "You mean the castle, or the walls in general?" I asked. He looked at me. "The walls." He said and handed me the bottle. I heldt it and looked at him. "My village was destroyed by titans. The protection we had had for over a hundred years started to fade and they attacked us. I, besides my father and Jonathan, was the only one to make it out alive. Now my dad is dead, because I killed him. And Jonathan probably doesn't even know." I stared at the ground and felt tears roll down my cheeks. "I was supposed to grow old, marry a wonderful man and die at 80 years old. This wasn't supposed to happen." I took a huge swig and nearly emptied the bottle. Levi stared at me. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I drank. "I think that's enough." He said and took it as I put it down. "You remember the day we had that threesome?" I asked and looked at him. "For being so short, you sure are well equipped." I said. He stared at me. I jumped up. "I remember when I was a kid, I wanted to become a writer. I was gonna go on adventures and write stories. My parents weren't supposed to die. I wasn't supposed to be confused of who I would like. Why is it so hard to figure out which guy I wanna be with. It's not supposed to be that hard?" I started to ramble. "Eren is so sweet and cute and handsome and sexy and he is so caring. Armin is so adorable and innocent and cute and caring." I looked at Levi. He looked at me for a while.
