Chapter XV:

Kira

Mikan frozed as she stared at the elderly woman. Natsume soon followed her and stared weirdly at Mikan. It was weird for Mikan to be like that. To be scared. Natsume followed her gaze and found an old maid sweeping the floor. It was.. weirdly odd. The maid was oddly suspicious. She had an aura.. Different from normal human. Natsume pulled Mikan to his side and hugged her waist.

"Well , Well , The Princess finally arrived home.. How was your day deary? Who do we have here aswell ? The Crown Prince of The Hyuuga Kingdom huh?" The woman looked at the two and smiled coldly. Mikan had her hairs up. Her voice was cold.

"We must ask you first ma'am. From what I remember , Uncle and Auntie don't hire any old woman to work here" Natsume said while glaring at the elderly woman. He had an uneasy feeling when the woman looked at Mikan. He tightens his grip around Mikan's waist. Wanting her to feel secured with him.

On the other hand, Ruka was silently witnessing the scene from behind the wall. He was confused with what he was seeing as he couldn't hear what they were saying. Although the woman was quite familiar for him. Yet he couldn't seem to recognize her. He felt as though he had known the elderly woman from way back.

Mikan feared for both her and Natsume's life. The witch could easily kill them in one swipe of her hand if they made her angry. She never met a witch before. She didn't know what to do. Should she run? But if she ran , who will save Hotaru? Her mind was totally messed up and she couldn't think of anything. For the first time , she was scared.

In the mean time, Tsubasa was trying to contact his parents who are currently overseas. Hotaru kept an eye out for any suspicious things while Youichi ate the Guliver Candy to make him more useful in his 16 years old body.

"Mom? Dad?"

"Mom! We're in trouble!"

".. No!! Not that kind of trouble! This time it's the dangerous type of trouble!"

".. We have an intruder mom. Hotaru saw her. She said that there was not a single maid or butler to be seen. Only one maid."

".. But this one.. You always hire young people, right mom?"

"The maid Hotaru saw, was an old woman"

"Yes mom?"

"WHAT?!"

"I don't know where she is! She's in danger!?"

"Got it! On it now! Bye mom!"

As soon as he pressed the red button, Hotaru quickly looked at him. Waiting for answers. Tsubasa sighed.

"Mikan's in danger"

"Mikan, Oh my sweet little Mikan.."

The witch slowly walks closer towards Mikan, the sound of her shoes tapping echoes through the hallway. Mikan gulped as she tried to stand still, not wanting to show any fear. Natsume supported her as he hides his left hand behind his body, preparing to throw fire at the witch.

"Natsume Darling, You might want to put down your hand. Or you'll lose it"

The raven haired boy slightly jumped at the warning. He glared at the witch who returned it with the same glare as she smirked in victory. He puts his hand down.

"Now then, Let's get straight to the point shall we?" Kira said with a sickening sweet voice.

"I came here not because I want to kill you darling, No No No! I will never do such a thing!" She said. Natsume glared at her even more. Expecting something bad from her.

"I came here, because I want you" Her voice started to change from a light voice into a deeper voice. Like a man's voice. Mikan was confused at her change of voice. No woman can speak that low. What is she?

Kira slowly walked towards Mikan, Every single tap of her shoes made Mikan wince. Fearing of what's to happen next. Mikan kept on looking down. Looking at the floor like it's the most interesting thing in the world.

She saw black high heels right in front of her black sneakers. She felt a finger on her chin, Pushing her head upwards. Her eyes met with Kira's green ones. They were constantly changing from green to black and then back again.

"W-What do you mean by me?" Mikan dared to ask, ignoring her fear. Kira smirked. "You see, When I made the contract with your family, I was so in love with your ancestor. But she got sick. And then her dad came to me. He wanted to make a contract. That was my chance." Kira said with her eyes black and voice changing into a man's voice.

"But I made a mistake with the curse. She was married to another wealthy man. I was mad. The love of my life was in the hands of another man. I concealed myself away from the world.. That is until Kira came."

Hotaru, Tsubasa, and Youichi were running towards where Mikan was. They are worried about Mikan. She was probably what made their life better. She cheered them up when they feel down. She was always there when they are in their worst state.

Hotaru was the most worried one. She loves Mikan like a sister. Mikan was the one person she will die for, Second to her family of course. If she's gone, What will she do?

She was in a deep thought when suddenly she saw a person, eavesdropping Mikan and Natsume. The person's back was facing them. Hotaru slowed down and silentlyb walked to the person. She tapped the shoulder of the person.

The person turned around and it was.. Ruka. Hotaru sighed in relieve. She thought it was another bad guy.

At least they only have one enemy.

Right?
