I could hear my blood pumping in my ears and my chest was about to burst any moment then. Despite it was spring time and cool breeze was in the air, I was sweating like it was summer time instead.

Jay announced for us to move to his left on the racetrack whereas the cheerleaders moved to the opposite side of us. We moved into position as the crowd were still crazy cheering. Dude, it's not even close to any school sports event yet, I mentally recalled.

The sight of the two clubs in the field/racetrack now looks like those classic American Western movies where two cowboys would be standing at a certain distance in a dessert town with no one around and a ball of what looks like hay rolling across the space between them.

Gosh, is this how we're gonna do story-telling to our kids someday? I thought to myself incredulously.

"I'm now gonna settle some rules and how this is gonna work," Jay spoke as the crowd sobered up slightly. "There will be one group performance from each club, four sets of couple and ten solos. For that you guys were informed. BUT, what you don't know is that we'll be throwing random songs at you instead of the ones you already picked out for the couples and solos."

The crowed 'ooh'-ed at the condition given. I grinned at their reaction despite they weren't the ones who had to dance and from their aspect, this is like a sudden pop-quiz but only a few times worse. However, the cheerleaders tensed at the condition that left Jay's mouth and I could see fear their eyes. I only offered a "who's laughing now?" smirk towards them.

I could also sensed that my team felt more relieved since we went through that part of the challenge when we all first met. It was like a chance to relive a memory and I was more than glad to do it again.

Jay then asked for Irisa and I to represent the clubs as he took a coin out to flip to see who would be going first. I chose tails; Irisa chose heads. He flipped the coin into the air and caught it with one hand. "And we have," He slowly opened his fist, "Irisa to go first. But before you both leave, this are the rules: no backups, no intruding of space when performing, no scams or playing dirty, and I'll add in more if I missed out anything. Okay? Now you've got a minute to talk to your members."

Jay didn't mention for us to shake hands with each other and I don't think we'll be doing so any time soon since this was a duel that had no means of getting friendly. All I hope is that it'll be worth the restless hours we had spent.

I rounded up my members together and started to give my unplanned speech. "Okay, what I've agreed to isn't reversible and for that I'm sorry for the rest of my life. However, we can't let ourselves down now. Not you, not me, not the supporting crowd, definitely not those brainwashed creeps in matching uniforms now and not ever!" I got a short laugh from them. "Anyway, if we don't make it, I am proud to be your president even if it was for less than 2 months. I love you Sparkers coz you are the best."

We all grouped hugged as tight as possible and exchange some encouraging words in our circle before letting go. "Now let's get down to business. We've got some divas to deal with." They all clapped and cheered a bit before turning back to the opposing group in front of us.

"Panthers on three!" I heard Irisa's voice cut across the track as they chanted their cheer. I didn't need to know what they had just chanted and just checked my watch which showed 5.45pm.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I now declare that the showdown begins now. Please put your hands together for the Panthers!" Jay announced like those wrestling match guy. all-star Spark went to the sidelines as we watched the cheerleaders do their thing.

Their music for the group performance was a remix of billboard songs which I'd bet they had payed much to make it sound so good. They had flips, kicks and all the other stunts that which the Sparkers could do it better and even flashed some sexy moves in between their 5-minute piece.
