                            ELLA'S POV

Pagkauwi ko galing bahay kinausap kaagad ako ni Kuya Eric..

"Ella. There will be a party here tonight." He is literally bouncing with excitement. I know my face gave a sour expression.

"Why? Why am I informed just now.?" I hate parties or any social gatherings. They were messy and too loud for someone like me who values silence.

"I was just informed a while ago too. Kuya Apollo just wants to celebrate a successful parnertship with some businessman. You know him. He tends to always want the people's attention." He sighed.

"Do what you want. But please remember that I don't to associate myself with alot of people. Those businessmen tend to be nosy and terrible." I frowned. "I can't tolerate those kinds of people."

I just don't have patience for those things. But I can't do anything about Kuya Apollo. So I just let him be.

"By the way, where's Ate Nicole?"

"Oh her. She's preparing for the party tonight. You know her. She loves dressing up for parties." He smiled though he rolls his eyes the same time.

"Alright. I'll just be in my room. I need to rest. School works drained me." He just nods. Maybe tutulong sya sa pag-aasikaso. I won't help. They don't need my assistance. May mga tao na silang babayaran para run.

 

It's now night time so that means the party stated just a while ago. I'm wearing a simple black dress. My original plan was to stay in my room throughout this party, but Kuya Apollo thinks otherwise.

Now here I am. Forced to endure the night full of just literally listening to nonsense chatter of the guests. The men just always talks about business and boasting their wealth. While most of the women gossiped with each others.

I don't get how those women can take it. They were paraded by their husbands like a trophy. Just groomed to make their husbands looked good.

I saw my Kuya Eric and Ate Nicole with Kuya Apollo. Agad akong napasimangot. I think I know why they're coming to me.

"Let's go Ella. I'll introduce the three of you to my guests." I am right. Mawawala ba naman ang pagpapakilala sa mga business associates nya. He liked doing that everytime.

I don't hate Kuya Apollo. I just get pissed and irritated everytime he introduced us. Hindi na ko umangal dahil hindi rin naman sya papatalo. I just can't help but that I was in the confines of my room while reading or much better,while I was sleeping.

He introduced us to a lot of people. It was the usual. Them faking smile while having a bit of talk with the guest while I just nod and tried to listen.

He even introduced us to Bryle and his family. I couldn't believe at first that my cousin were acquainted with them. His presence already annoys me at the campus and now here. I sighed internally.

Eventhough my patience were wearing thin, I just kept silent. I don't want to embarass my cousin. He worked really hard to maintain a good relationship with this people for the business.

"Kuya can I introduce Ella and Nicole to my friends?"

He thinks for a few seconds before he nods.
"I guess you can. Mukhang napakilala ko naman kayo sa lahat ng business partners ko."

Introductions again. Gaano ba karami ang kakilala ng mga pinsan ko? Daig pa yata ang artista. I want this night to end. Maybe I should just end all this people. I sighed. I kept the morbid thought to myself.

"Hey guys!" Pag-agaw atensyon ni Kuya Eric sa mga mga nakaupong kalalakihan sa isang table.

I didn't even realized that we were walking. Maybe I'm just that absentminded tonight. Socializing took a lot of my energy. It might sound exaggerated but that the truth.

"Yow brad!"

"Kamusta na?"

"Akala ko di mo na kami papansinin eh."

Kanya-kanya silang bati. They even this that manly fistbump that guys seems to always do. Nakikinig lang kami ni ate. She has a charming smile painted on her lips while I probably resembled a robot running low on battery. I must've looked done with everything because that's what I'm feeling inside.

"Who's the beautiful ladies bedside you?"

"Oh this is my sister as you probably heard of her before." Ate Nicole smile and then they all turned to me. I remained impassive. "This is my youngest cousin. She's Ella." I nod as a sign of greeting.

"Pleased to meet you ladies. I'm Miko Xavier Montez." The guy with a good boy aura around him introduced.

"Xiel Venedict Gozaga." Tipid na pakilala ng lalaking kanina pa tahimik at nagmamasid lang sa amin.

"C'mon Xiel. Why didn't you say were cousins?" That Miko said with a teasing smile.

They didn't even have a bit of resemblance. Even their personality looks different from each other.

I just nod to all of them. I have to pretend I even care who they are. I'm not even sure if I would remember them or even meet them again.

The night is still long and I am bored to the bones. I need food to fuel me.
