Shailene's POV

I cut the water off and dry myself off, my mind now set on enhanced ideas for what Theo and I were going to do together today.

This Hapuna Beach Prince resort wasn't just some spa and relaxation place. It was also the beholder of an amazing variety of pools and so much more.

Today would literally probably feel like a simple vacation day with my best friend and co-star..

Too bad Zoë or Miles couldn't come with us.. I now think rather sullenly. The two had actually been offered to join this tour with us by our director himself, but they had simply declined the offer. Zoë had said that she had too much on her schedule for some long Divergent/get-away tour, and Miles had informed me that he had an appointment with a live, popular talk show that he just couldn't refuse to attend to.

They both had given excellent and sensible reasons on not joining me and Theo on this trip, so I couldn't possibly think otherwise about them.

Once I am finally finished drying off and primping myself up a little, I hurriedly exit the bathroom for Theo to use it next.

"I'm so sorry for the wait-" I am just beginning to say, but instead, I am cut off at the sight of a dressed and readied Theo, his eyes glancing up from his hands working to place his watch atop of one of his muscular arms.

I blink in a bewildered manner.

"Hmm?" His face is calm and looks rather eager. All he had on was nothing but a rather tight t-shirt that exposed his muscles more, and some lengthy shorts that came to his knees. I bite the inside of my cheek for a moment.

"Wouldn't you like to take a shower?" I now ask him with a thoughtful look, and his mouth twitches with a small smile for me. "Uh Shai, we're going to be getting into some pools today, I think I'll be okay." He points out and I am instantly reminded.

"O-Oh! Good observation there..." I splutter with a stammer next and now he is grinning at me.

"Really Shai, this is a time to relax, girl." He flickers me a dirty look at the word 'girl' and I chuckle at him. He seemed so appealingly charming at the moment. But that was normal.

"You're right. I should loosen up a bit." I state next before turning towards the door. A new thrill was beginning to spark within me at just the thought of hanging out with Theo at this lovely resort and around some pools. Being with your best friend at a place like this? What could be better?

"You ready?" I ask now and I turn to catch Theo's head giving me a nod.

I then grab my phone and a pair of sunglasses before opening our door to the hallway outside.

Theo follows me out of the room and closes the door behind us, the warm glow of the hallway enlightening my eyes.

The carpet underfoot was a brisk blue color and over the mahogany railing to our hallway were other hallways and floors. You lean over and literally see the lobby floor below from an impressive stance. It was marvelous.

We head for the elevators next and as we pass some windows along the way, I suddenly pause and feel myself light up.

"Oh wow!" I breathe, and Theo comes to stand beside me.

Through the windows you could gaze down upon the resort below. You could see the pools, the many lounge chairs sprawled amongst the places, and of course the large spread of the ocean overlapping a glowing-white beach.

Palm trees and leaves of all sorts were growing everywhere and tons of people and small kids could be spotted all along the pools.

"It's so beautiful!" I can't help but comment, and immediately I feel Theo's eyes on me.
