Alex's P.O.V.
I almost feel like I'm on Cloud 9 right now. I've been driving Deadpool and I around the outskirts of the city looking for my plan B hideout, but he decided to make himself comfortable a couple miles back. He had wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder, nuzzling into my neck.
I almost crashed the motorcycle.
Focus, idiot.
But he's distracting, it's not my fault.
Ignore it.
But his arms are so warm...
This isn't the time to get attached, do you remember your mission?
Don't remind me. Please.
Not this time, I'm not letting this go.
Just leave me alone.
Then remember why your still here.
I sigh to myself as the small shanty in the distance came into view. Sadly, the feeling of a warm bliss will soon be over. I slow my bike as we get closer, before coming to a stop just at the front of the building. This place has always been risky, being just outside the city. But it's quiet, and more roomy than the last place, seeing as this was an old small business office building.
I balance the bike before trying to get up, but Deadpool's arms are held fast around my waste. I gently tug on his fingers, but it seems that the merc with a mouth, has fallen asleep.
How did he not fall off the bike?
Maybe because he likes what he's holding into...
Either that or he's just faking.
Probably the latter.
"Hey, I'm not your teddy bear, let go red." I say softly, yet firmly. I hear Wade groan before sliding his arms towards him, hesitating with his hands on my hips before completely letting go. My heart does a small rave inside my chest, with my inner mind getting extremely giddy at the feeling.
Shit.
What even is this feeling.
I didn't think I had a heart anymore.
I think my stomach just did a backflip.
Why are you agreeing with me for once.
Because that felt so right.
Not gonna argue.
I wait for Wade to get off the bike before I get off myself, and put up the kickstand.
"So what is this? Are we having a business meeting? Discussing the topic of who kills who first?" Deadpool starts off the banter as he stands in front of the building with his hands on his hips. "Who gave Kevin a grenade launcher!? I want one!" He runs into the building leaving me behind in the remaining sunlight.
I roll the my motorcycle behind some bushes for the time being, before following Wade inside. The rooms are small, but the building itself is a good size. The old owners were content with small, but they were freaks about security. That's why I like the place. The best of the best security systems from Stark Industries. Still perfectly functional as well.
I find Deadpool in the small conference room in the middle of the building, leaning back in one of the chairs, with his feet resting on top of the wooden table.
"Let's get down to business toots, I've got a job, and there's something telling me there's more reason for you wanting to kill me as well, ya know, besides just hating me." He spins his chair in a circle as he speaks, before landing with his feet on the ground, and his head resting on his elbows atop the table.
"Who are you? Sherlock Holmes? Because I won't deny it, but I won't confirm it as well." I reply, crossing my arms before siting in a chair directly across from him.
"Of course I'm Sherlock, who else would I be?'' Deadpool laughes.
Say it.
Why?
Because he could feel the same way.
He won't, I know he won't.
If he doesn't, we have to kill him anyways.
True.
"I don't know, why don't we ask Doctor Who? Who being you, Mr. W." I lean forward over the table, a bit closer to Deadpool, who copies my actions and leans just as far as I have, with still some distance between us.
"And what does the W stand for?" I can basically hear his smirk through his mask, and I swear to God I'll smack him for it later.
"I'll tell you if you tell me your guess." My breath seems to be reverberating on my scarf, causing my breathing to become slightly shallow.
"I'm sorry, I have no clue who Mr. W is. But there is a Ms. B who's identity seems interesting to me." He leans a bit closer.
"Who might this Ms. B be? Is she your girlfriend?" I tease, leaning closer the same distance as Wade. About a foot left between us now,
"I wish, but it seems like she's out of my league at the moment." He chuckles.
"So you're single?" I half tease, at the same time actually flirting.
"At the moment yes, but that's only if you're not interested.." Deadpool pauses, "Alexandra Butler." My breath hitches.
So he does know.
Called it.
"I only have one word for you, Wade Wilson." I reach over to pull his mask off, at the same time he pulls the scarf off of my face. I close the last foot of distance between us, and lock my lips onto his. One of his hands reaches up to cup my face, my arms pulling me across the table to get even closer to him. His arms wrap around me completely, allowing me to wrap my arms around his neck.
It seemed like an eternity before the kiss ended, but eventually we both had to stop to breathe.
I smile as I take deep breathes, glancing into Wade's eyes.
"So, I'm guess that word is 'yes'?" He asks hopefully, a smile on his face matching my own.
"Yes." I whisper, allowing myself to live in the moment, not caring at all about my past, or my future, just living in a blissful now. For once, being happy.
We're completely screwed...
Yep.
I love it.
Me too.
