Alex's P.O.V.
"Mace Thompson's kid, right?" Tension settles in the air within the first 15 seconds of running into this kid. Last I saw him was when I murdered his dad.
I'm assuming he's going to hold a grudge, just like every other peasant.
Probably.
The one time I'm temporarily crippled.
"And you're that bitch who murdered my father!" The boy seethes through clenched teeth, I notice a handgun in a holster by is belt, his hand inching dangerously towards it.
"Strong language for a little boy," I shake my head disapprovingly at him.
"I'm 15!" His hand is wrapping around the handle of the gun now, reading to pull it out at any moment.
How are kids these days getting so damn short?
I bet he hasn't even gone through puberty yet.
His voice does sound a bit squeaky.
"I guess someone hasn't had their growth spurt yet," I whisper loudly to Wade, just loud enough for the boy to hear, I can see his knuckles turning white around his gun, the tension is thickening.
"You killed my father." He says for the second time,I can hear his teeth chattering from here. Although I'm crippled. He's still terrified of me.
How he got to work at a place like this, I'll never know.
"Time to die, bitch" he flings his gun out and pulls the trigger before the gun is just barley out of the holster, shooting the floor instead of me.
"Nice." Wade sets me down on the floor carefully, then pulls out his switchblade as he pins the kid to the wall. The boy whimpers, his eyes wide in fear.
This is what he gets for getting into this.
He's still a kid.
So we're we, but no one had mercy on us.
We killed his father.
Since when did you take pity on people?
Never...
Exactly, he's just a problem in our way.
Not a very effective problem though.
He did shoot the floor.
"Don't kill him, just knock him out," I croak out as loud as I can, even then my voice is just above a whisper.
"Sounds good to me, this kid is more useless than when I took the SAT in high school," with the last quip, Deadpool punches the boy square in the jaw, leaving him in an unconscious ball on the floor. He walks back over to me, putting the switchblade back into his belt before picking me up again.
My breathing seems to be shorter now.
Why is Breathe by Taylor Swift playing in my brain right now.
Sorry, I wanted some jams to listen to, this escape is taking too long.
The song isn't exactly helping my situation.
I've noticed.
We turn down a dozen more hallways before meeting two large, double doors.
"Ooo, sinister double doors, we must be at the boss level," Wade says as he pushes open the door, heading into a large, empty room. The room seems extremely familiar.
"I've got a major sense of deja vú," I voice aloud as he sets me down on the floor against a wall.
"Me too, this is weirder than an Adam Sandler movie, I'm waiting for a cliché bad guy entrance right now." And as if on cue, the doors open with a smack against the walls on either side of the.
"Way to stay on script fellas!" Wade stands up, guarding me from any view as he applauded the men that just entered.
A large man enters behind them. A very very familiar large man.
The man that hired me to kill Deadpool.
Wade seems to be just as speechless as myself at the man, as he waddles to his chair near the center of the room.
"So glad you too could make it, for your final showdown." He laughs one of those weird laughs that you only hear in movies. It's like an evil villain laugh, but more comical.
"The final what now?" Wade voices my own thoughts at the mans sentence.
"The final showdown," he still doesn't elaborate.
Does this guy just love being vague or what?
Honestly.
"Time for at least one of you to do what you were hired to do." His words make my brain click.
"What one of us was hired to do? You only hired me." Wade's voice is loud and demanding, he pulls out the switchblade, ready for a fight with any of the burly men that stand threateningly around the large man in the middle.
"I hired the both of you to kill each other," his words hang in the air, stabbing my heart with an internal pain I haven't felt for a long time.
That could just be your lungs.
Shh, I'm having a moment of emotion.
I'll wait for the rarity to pass.
"And since neither of you could complete the damn job," he gestures to the situation around us, "here we are."
The moment of anxious tension is broken when the double doors burst open, to reveal the 15 year old boy from the hallway. I'm surprised he woke up so quickly after the punch Deadpool gave him, it left a nasty bruise too.
"Uncle! The assassin that killed father is—" he stops, he sees me. He sees Deadpool. And he sees the scene before him. He smiles a wicked grin, turning back towards his 'uncle'.
"I'm terribly sorry, continue whatever you were doing," and with that, he slowly backs up towards the doors, his eyes glowing with amusement.
Stupid kid.
Should have killed him.
He deserves it now.
Damn your new found softening heart.
It's not softening, I think the lack of oxygen is affecting me.
Sure.
"If one of us kills the other, what happens to the remaining survivor?" Wade suddenly asks, his question surprising me.
"Then the other gets a quick death." The man replies, chuckling as Wade nods his head.
"Then you won't mind if I start the fighting," He throws the knife at the nearest guard, hitting him in the jugular. The rest of the men rush around their fallen comrade, stepping through the fresh puddles of blood for the fight to begin.
They charge towards us, some holding knives, some holding guns, and some holding both.
Of all the damn times to be crippled.
It's always my luck as well.
Only me.
Only me.

Hello everyone! Another new chapter!
You guys remember the beginning of the book, the guy she killed, and the kid she did it in front of? That's the kid form this chapter lol. Lil cameo. He'll be important later.
Geez, two chapters in one week. Who am I? I'm obviously NOT the original author, she only ever remembers to update once a month.
Oh well. I'll be gone for almost three weeks anyways, like I mentioned in the last authors note, I'll be busy for the next few weeks, and won't be able to update.
So, enjoy this new chapter! Sorry it wasn't very long, but an update is an update, and I'm damn well proud of myself for updating twice in one week.
Please vote and comment!
Can we get to 30 votes? I'll update as soon as possible!
