"Lucifer." I began, my eyebrow raised in a mix of curiosity and unease. "What brings you here?"

"The girl." he said flatly, his expression a mask of calm.

Michelangelo stepped forward, holding Evelyn by the wrist to keep her from bolting. "We're returning her to her pack."

Before Lucifer could respond, the door to the Porsche opened, and Lilith charged out, her eyes blazing with determination.

"Give me back my sister!" she growled, her voice filled with a fierce protectiveness.

"Evelyn!" Lilith's name burst from Evelyn's lips in a joyful cry. The sisters' reunion was as heartfelt as it was immediate.

"Let her go." I commanded Michelangelo, my tone brooking no argument.

"But—" he started to protest, but a single look from me cut him short.

Michelangelo released Evelyn's wrist, and she dashed toward Lilith. They embraced tightly, tears of relief and joy mingling.

Lucifer observed the scene with a detached air, though a hint of something like satisfaction played on his lips. "You know, I would've had to punish you if I were still in charge for letting a she-wolf go."

A shiver ran through us at his words, but the tension eased when he continued, "But given the circumstances, thank you."

A slight, unexpected smile curved Lucifer's lips, and I blinked in surprise.

"No problem, sir." Raphael responded, trying to mask his relief.

"Not anymore, Raph." Lucifer said, his voice carrying a finality that brooked no argument.

Leonardo started to say something, but Lucifer cut him off. "Devon will be in charge from now on."

"Sir Argent—" Leonardo began, but the firm "No" from Lucifer left no room for discussion.

We all nodded in reluctant agreement. The change in leadership was abrupt, but we understood the necessity.

As Lilith and Evelyn embraced, I couldn't help but feel a pang of relief mixed with unease. The dynamics were shifting, and the familiar world we knew was subtly transforming.

The pack house was eerily quiet when we returned, the tension thick and suffocating. I was beyond furious. Gabriel stood against the wall, my hand gripping his throat with a force that spoke of the depth of my frustration.

"What were you thinking?" I growled, my voice low and menacing.

"Let him go!" Lilith's voice rang out from behind me, sharp and commanding. Who does she think she is, challenging me?

Gabriel's eyes were wide with a mix of fear and defiance. "I was just trying to help her." he managed to croak out.

"You almost jeopardized all of your lives!" I roared, my anger barely contained. How could he be so reckless?

"P-please, Lucifer." I felt a soft, trembling hand on my shoulder. The sparks that flared from that touch were unmistakable—Valentine. I turned to face her, the anger in my eyes softening just a fraction at the sight of her fear.

"You," I said, my voice strained as I tried to control the storm of emotions roiling inside me. She took a step back, her eyes wide with fright.

Seeing her like this made me feel guilty, but I couldn't ignore the recklessness that had put everyone at risk. "You disobeyed me! I trusted you!" My voice cracked with frustration.
