"Mate." My mate and I uttered in unison, the revelation hanging in the air like a thunderclap.

The scene quickly descended into chaos. My father, mother, and Alpha Winters rushed over, shifting back to their human forms as I shielded my mate naked form with my own. The protective instinct was automatic, driven by the bond we now shared.

My father and Alpha Winters donned pants, while my mother wrapped herself in my father's shirt. Alpha Winters tossed me a pair of pants and a shirt, which I quickly put on. I then handed the shirt to my mate, ensuring she was covered as much as possible. My possessiveness flared, and I positioned myself in front of her, asserting my claim.

"She no longer will be a rogue." I declared, my voice brooking no argument. She would have an immediate place in my pack and eventually become my Luna.

"But, son, you don't even know if she's trustworthy." my father reasoned, his tone cautious but firm.

"I do." I insisted, though uncertainty gnawed at the edges of my conviction.

"She'll live with me from now on." I concluded, unwavering in my decision.

"No, I won't." Her voice cut through, her angelic tone belying the rebellion in her words. I turned to face her, the firmness in my stance not yielding.

"You will." I replied, my voice leaving no room for negotiation. She was mine, and that was non-negotiable.

"I have my priorities to finish first." she retorted, her gaze shifting menacingly towards Lucifer.

I looked at Lucifer, my confusion evident. He sighed, as if reading my unspoken question.

"She wants me dead." he revealed. My eyes widened in disbelief.

"Why?" I demanded, my curiosity piqued by the layers of complexity unfolding before me.

Lilith remained silent, her secrets tightly guarded.

"She claims his death gives her freedom." Alpha Winters interjected, his insight cutting through the tension.

"You will not do such a thing." my father growled, his authority echoing through the room. She responded with a growl of her own, defiant and unafraid.

Why was she so determined to kill Lucifer?

"Stop that," I hissed at her. My frustration boiled over. How dare she growl at my father? Despite her being my mate, respect for my father was non-negotiable.

"Name?" I demanded, but she refused to answer. A glance at Alpha Winters to confirm her identity.

"Lilith." Lucifer said, his tone tinged with anger.

"Lilith, why are you doing this?" I asked, trying to extract answers from her. Her stubborn silence only fueled my frustration. I ran my fingers through my hair, exasperated by her refusal to cooperate.

"Honey." my mother said softly, approaching me and resting her hand on my arm.

"Cool down; she's just a girl." she tried to soothe me.

"A stubborn one." I retorted, meeting her gaze with my own. Who did she think she was?

"We should bring her back to the pack house." Alpha Winters suggested, his tone decisive.

"No!" Lilith objected, attempting to flee again. I grabbed her wrist firmly, preventing her escape, my voice low and threatening.

"Stop it." I growled. Her resistance only heightened my frustration.
