A fire had broken out just down the street from the airport, where my aunt lived.
"Lotta! My aunt, her house! We need to go home right now!" Grabbing all pour luggage and bags and

I thought it was the end. Where nothing was going to continue. My life had been short, pleasant, and mostly forgotten. Aunt Serena would miss me, for sure. But Lotta. Lotta has known me my entire life, and desperately depended on me at some points in her life. I just hoped it wouldn't be the end for her. My father and mother were standing in another world, Viktoria smiling sweetly next to them. Uncle Rich was among them, and my little German Shepherd, Cookie, was barking happily.

"Don't leave them yet, Tatiana. You need to stay awake. Lotta is depending on you," Uncle Rich's voice filled my ears, scaringthe living bejesus out of me.

"Uh...Alright. W-what happens now?" Raising both eyebrows, I realized I was floating in the darkness, likedarkness , like a cloud. This couldn't have been more awkward, terrifying, or even a bit confusing. I mean, my uncle, who's been dead for many years now, literally just spoke to me. Creepy factor, twenty-five, not to mention the fact that I had only knocked out...unless...No way.

"Wake yourself up! Don't reach towards us. Turn and don't ever look back, just keep going until you wake. Hurry off now!" Uncle Rich grabbed my shoulders tighly, turning me around harshly. Cookie, my dog, growled at me, running over to push me forward.

"Wait! Tell everyone I love them! And I miss them!" I tried reaching out to touch Uncle Rich, but he just slowly faded into darkness, leaving me completely confused. All my life, I had figured after you died, it was the end. I was proven wrong. Confused, I looked around the darkness, searching for any light at all. What was this place? This was the first time in years I had been lost and alone, and that all changed now. Since Lotta and Aunt Serena weren't here to guide me, I was left to figure it out for myself.

And then WAM!

"I can't believe it. It was like her pulse just kinda slowed down until it just stopped. The docter came in, but she's showing no signs of waking. Bye Serena, Yakov wants to speak with me." Lotta's slightly shaky and worried voice filled my ears, my eyes forcing themselves open just a bit.

"At least she's not dead, Viktor," Yuri snootily told Viktor, peering at me from a chair in the corner of the room. Then I heard someone hit someone else, and I assumed it was Lotta. "Ow! What was that for?!"

"For being such a brat, kid! Shut up, and sit still!" Confirmed, I told myself, remembering that I knew Lotta like I knew my own mind. "Yakov, Serena is still on the phone." There was some rustling, and I could tell Serena was practically screaming at Yakov. How did Aunt Serena know him, anyway?

"Guys?" I spoke out, realizing just how horrible I sounded. Dead silence filled the room. Apparently, I had gotten everyone's attention. "Hello?" Opening my eyes a bit more, I realized everyone was starring at me, their eyebrows furrowed.

"Tatiana, are feeling alright? Your pulse stopped an hour ago, but the docter and nurses were able to get it moving again. One nurse said your pulse stopped from your heart problems. She also mentioned to me that you should travel more, instead of sticking in one place for an extended amount of time," Lotta paused, taking a deep breath and continuing before I could object. "The doctor said sightseeing was a great way to get your mind moving and get your risk of fainting down. He also said don't push yourself too hard in any sport for two months."

"Wait, does that mean we're not going home?" Leaning forward on my hospital bed, I grinned, getting my hopes up that we wouldn't have to return to boring old Wiamalu.

"Yes. Now get some sleep, we've gotta leave tomorrow." Lotta walked up to me, pushing me back down and shutting my eyelids were her fingers.

"This isn't gonna work, Lotta! I want to get up and walk around!" Throwing my legs over the edge of the bed, I stood, smiling. Lotta pushed me back down.
