Tatiana was then behind us. Out of earshot, which meant I didn't have to put up the act for the moment. "God, Viktor, I missed you."
"Five time gold medalist?" He asked, his arm slipping around my waist.
"Yup," I laughed slightly. "I've even broken the record you set in the mens division."
"Quite an impressive feat." Viktor laughed slight as we entered the hotel, me leading him towards my room. "I mean, for just a city girl," he murmured. I rolled my eyes, smirking ever so slightly. It was an ongoing joke between us.
"Here's the room," I said, continuing the light banter and readjusting to my character.
"Um, guys?" Tatiana pushed the door open. "I'm just gonna, um, go use the restroom." She said quickly, going to lock herself in my hotel bathroom.
"She's an awfully cute kitten." I said in the character's teasing tone. "A little... Small, for you Viktor, isn't she?"
"Shut up, Vivienne," he said, smirking ever so slightly.
"Make me," I murmured, and suddenly he had me pinned against the wall, his face just inches from mine. I was practically drooling, and hot, and he used his thumb to wipe the slight drool away, also smearing my lipstick effectively.
"I will, Chapman," he murmured.
"Well, don't mind me..." Jesus Christ, I hadn't even noticed Tatiana open the door. She quickly shut herself back into the bathroom, and not four seconds later we heard a sickening thud. I slid off my coat, pushing past Viktor. I struggled with the lock only for a minute, Viktor right behind me, shouting for Tatiana.
"Holy shit," I said, seeing her the floor, the character dropped. "Viktor I think she hit her head."
"Shit," he repeated under his breath, getting down on his knees next to the small woman.
"Tatiana!" Viktor attempted, shaking her gently. "Wake up! Come on!"
"Huh?" She made a small noise, and a sigh of relief escaped my lips. "What happened?" She murmured blearily, trying to sit up.
"Viktor, have her lie down still." I instructed, though he clearly ignored me.
"Can you see clearly?" There were few times I'd seen Viktor as concerned as then.
"Um, yes," she replied after a second of rapid blinking. "What's wrong, Viktor?" Normally, Viktor didn't get concerned about anything unless it was serious. We both knew it, Tatiana and I both.
"Oh, good. I'm glad you're alright," he murmured, hugging her tightly. I started to object but just rolled my eyes.
That's when she appeared to notice me.
Her eyes scanned me disapprovingly for a moment, and I glanced at myself in the mirror, blushing ever so slightly. I did look like I just had an intense make out session with Viktor.
"Viktor, step aside, I know how to test for a concussion," I said gently, and he moved aside.
"Hey, Tati," I murmured. I knew Tatiana from our childhood. I was at the camp in Russia every summer until the year we both made our senior debut. "Open your eyes for me, please."
She screeched loudly. "Calm down," I chuckled ever so slightly, like the older sister I was. "I'm checking to see if your eyes dilate properly."
I glanced over at Viktor, and the look in his eyes almost made me laugh , his eyebrow raised ever so slightly.
"So, um, what do we do next? I still have to be at Mila's..." Looking down at her purple wristwatch, she started to panic. "I was supposed to be there two hours go! What the hell?" Scrambling up off the floor of the bathroom, she pushed past the two of us, grabbing her coat and throwing open the hotel door. "I better be there in ten minutes!"
I opened my mouth to say something, but then closed it. She was gone. I looked over at Viktor, and he looked down at me. I could practically taste the sexual tension, but I wasn't going to do anything about it.
"So. This, project of yours?" Viktor said, and I tore my eyes away from his.
"Ah. Yes." I murmured. "I need you to do something for me. Two things, actually-- well," I stumbled over the words, trying to make my point. Once I didn't have the façade to protect me, I basically crumbled.
"Hm?" Viktor said, sliding his hand under my chin, and gently making me look up at him. I took a small breath, then met his eyes, blue-green against blue-green.
"I need you to do me a favor... You see, my friend Yuuri Katsuki..."
