(heyo. this is a new author here. i made up the character vivienne, the much hated, perhaps rival, of tatiana. this chapter will be told from vivienne's pov. tell me how you like it.)
I stumbled in my heels just a little bit, huffing slightly. I just needed to talk to Viktor, then get out of there. Just needed to talk to him about the project I was working on. Old friend to old friend.
I regained balance. I needed to play it off like a was a seductive, obnoxious one, because I couldn't have Viktor feeling guilty. Say buh bye to the clumsy American girl who is clumsy.
That's when I noticed he had a girl beside him. She was small in size but from her eyes she was at least twenty or so. Great. Now I needed to act like I needed to get rid of girl too. I needed to talk to Viktor alone to convince him of the project. And that I didn't know him.
Easy. Acting and skating were my two biggest things, though I was sort of a Jack of all Trades.
"Excuse me, sir?" I asked, stopping my walking and giving a slight smirk as I looked at the pair, but my eyes mostly on Viktor, practically begging him to pretend that he didn't know me. Our eyes scanned each other, and I saw the flicker of understanding.
"Hmm?" Viktor hummed, giving me an obviously fake smile. I knew it, and he knew it, and the girl next to him knew it too, elbowing him in the side.
"Drop the act. I'm Vivienne Chapman, your new competition!" I said in an overly cheerful voice. I tried to do the hair slip thing that I'd seen others do, but it didn't quite work out as planned. "Five year gold medalist in senior woman's division at the Grand Prix Final, Nikiforov."
"Wow! Amazing!" I saw the genuine brightness in his eyes. He was happy for me. It was adorable. I lost myself for a moment, my eyes softening.
"Yes, yes, I know," I said, stumbling over the words for a moment, doing the annoying hair flippy thing. My face turned serious, my own expression. "I need your help." I put my hands together, showing Viktor I wasn't simply messing around and trying to waste his time. I saw the girl's eyes on me, and she looked like she thought I was insane.
"B-but didn't you just say-" she caught on. Damn, this one was sharp. Sharper than me, it seemed. I placed my finger over her lips, giving her a sickeningly sweet smile that really wasn't mine. Maybe sometime I could explain to her my history with Viktor, apologize, but now was not the time.
"Shh, shh, shh. Shush," man, I was being an asshole. "I wasn't asking you, I was asking Nikiforov."
I turned to him, my eyes pleading. He stood up, and I felt relief wash over me."So, can we chat about you helping me at the hotel down the way?" I asked. I needed to tell him two things, and that was it. "Without that one," I gestured to the smaller young woman, slightly uncomfortable. I needed to get this off my chest, just me and him. Apparently, he did not pick up on that.
"Sorry, Tatiana has to come!" Viktor grinned at me, obviously oblivious to the look on my face. I heard the smaller woman breath a sigh of relief. What did she think I was going to do? Make him leave her behind?
"Here, let me take Makkachin from you, Viktor," the smaller one said. I knew who she was, Tatiana Darby, but I didn't want to exactly acknowledge it right now. She snatched the leash from him without waiting for his words. "Thank you."
"So what do you want help with, Vivienne?" Viktor questioned me, speeding up his pace to keep up with me.
"A project, and I need your assistance." I said, trying to tell him how vague I meant this topic to be. "By the way, who is the small one? I heard you say Tatiana earlier," I said, trying to change the subject, glancing over at the girl, still trying to be obnoxious.
"I'm Tati-" she started, but I interrupted her.
"Tatina Darby? Oh I've heard of you!" I shot an annoying smile at her, already annoyed with the character I was playing.
Viktor watched my face, just watching me, very interested in the character now. He just scanned my eyes, and I did his.
"Um, Viktor?" The girl pulled on Viktor's sleeve so he had to pay attention to her. I took off my glasses, pretending to be interested with them as I listened.
"What's wrong?" He asked her gently.
"You trust this woman?" Tatiana asked, thinking I didn't hear her. I waited, listening a moment longer.
"Yes, now come on," Viktor said to her, and I breathed a small sigh of relief.
"Fine." I heard her say, and I was just grateful she didn't push it. I really did. I would have to pay her back later.
And apologize.

I wrote that for fun, and because I have an interesting twist planned between Vivienne and Viktor. If you liked that, please let me know so I can keep writing these. Is Vivi a more likable character now? Maybe not, but that doesn't matter, because she'll be important for this story.
I liked writing this, but tell me if I should keep it up
