"Carrie," Ryan spoke into the phone shakily as he drove his car, "go get Izzy now, I'll meet you back at the house."

"What?" Carrie responded in confusion, "What happened?"

"Just get Izzy!" Ryan pleaded, he stared at the road with anguish, "I have to make a stop, then I'll meet you at the house."

"Okay..." Carrie said quietly, then she ended the phone call.

Ryan pulled into the bank, parked his car, then walked inside the building. He waited in line and then requested a withdrawal from his account. When the clerk asked how much Ryan replied, "All of it."

She gave him a look and then left. After a few minutes, Ryan received an envelope with all the money in his account. He hurriedly strolled back to his car, and began driving home. Tears began welling up in his eyes, he held it until now. He just lost his job, the job he put so much work and pride into, now he was hopeless.

I don't have the law's help anymore, Ryan mulled over in his head, but I cannot let Cole go.

Ryan pulled into his driveway, tears running down his face. He saw that Carrie was home already. He walked up to the front door, unlocked it and entered the house.

Carrie was waiting on the couch. She looked up and was taken aback by the emotional Ryan.

"What is wrong?" Carrie asked sympathetically, "Why did we need to get Izzy?"

"Carrie.." Ryan gulped, lips quivering, "I was fired...We need to get out of here.."

Carrie's eyes widened, "but...why?"

"The Commander found out that I broke my suspension and she thinks I've lost my mind," Ryan cried, tears rolling down his cheeks, "I can't let this go...I can't...Carrie..."

Ryan didn't realize that Carrie had gotten up and walked over to him until he felt her embrace him.

"I can't let Cole go...I can't..." Ryan sniffed, "I swore I would catch him..."

Carrie was silent, she rested her head on his shoulders.

"We need to leave," Ryan said more steadily, Carrie lifted her head and looked at him in the eyes.

"Is that what you think we should do?" Carrie stated seriously, "This isn't a rash decision right?"

"Yes, it's not safe here," Ryan responded calmly, wiping away his tears, "I can't let Cole win...and I can't let him take you two away from me..."

"What needs to be done," Carrie asked with a ready tone.

"Get everything we need into my car," Ryan stated, "I have a place to hide."

Once, all the essentials were packed into Ryan's car, the family hopped into the car and Ryan began driving away. They went outside the city and to a nearby forest, Ryan drove down an old dirt road until they arrived at a little cabin.

"Is this where we are going to hide?" Carrie questioned. Ryan nodded.

"Until I catch Cole, this is where we will be," Ryan stated, "there is an old town just outside the other end of the forest, I can find a job there to help us get by."

"Daddy...I miss our home..." Izzy said dramatically as they got out of the car. Ryan looked at her with consoling eyes.

"Honey, we haven't even been gone for an hour," Ryan replied, he picked her up as they walked inside the cabin, "don't worry, we will go back soon..."

Izzy held onto Ryan tightly as he walked into the small living room, which had a little fireplace leading into a chimney. He sat on the dirty couch and rocked Izzy back and forth. Carrie walked in and sat next to Ryan and Izzy, Ryan handed Izzy over to Carrie and she held Izzy for awhile.
