Prompt: "People are awful. You know who's not awful? Dragons."
"Dragons have only tried to live in peace, and to be honest, the only wars they've had have been over territories and slayers." I could only blink confused at the stubborn women that stood in front of my class. Yes, my family had always taught me that dragons were awful, and tried to wipe out our clan, but this woman told me information that no one else had. Who wouldn't be curious?
"How do you know that for sure?" Someone snarked to my left.
"Simple, my mother was the second and final queen of dragons." My breath hitches and every other Slayer child in the room makes sounds of horror and realization. I knew exactly who this would-be teacher was.
"Yes yes 'what are you doing here,' 'your trespassing on Slayer territory,' 'Fang hugger,' what have you, but my point still stands." She stated, grinning cheekily at us. The white necklace crawled up her neck, and curled at her head, flashing us all the large, white fangs of a Guardian Dragon.
"Dragons are nicer than people, and I'm going to prove it to you." She was Vivian Formerly of the Runestone clan, and she was my aunt.
