So I know I'm updating this right after my ACOWAR update (yes I'm still squealing in happiness at the cover), because originally this was going to be in that post but I figured it could have its own.
So I was flipping through ACOMAF again, and I was rereading the scene where Feyre and Amren are stealing the first half of the Book of Breathings from Tarquin, and the Book says this:
"The box—the Book—was silent. Then it said, Like calls to like.
'Open,' I gritted out.
Unmade and Made; Made and Unmade—that is the cycle. Like calls to like."
-Page 358, A Court of Mist and Fury
Remind you of anything...?
Reread it. Like calls to like. That is the most popular quote in one of my other favorite book series, the Grisha trilogy (which you should totally read, it's awesome). It's the Grisha's motto, and Alina recalls it multiple times through the books, mostly when Mal's mad at her (which is a lot) and she's thinking of the Darkling.
What do you think this means? Are the Book and the Darkling connected somehow? Perhaps part of the Darkling was preserved in the Book? That's even if Prythian and Ravka are connected. But anything is possible with Wyrdgates!
It could mean nothing, but I just thought it was strange. What do you think?
